That was my first 'grail' watch, purchased new in 1967 - My boss had the 'de Ville' version with a gorgeous 'sheen' dial - lovely !!!

It's Thursday and this thread was started 8 days ago - are you being deliberately obtuse?
    In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.

    Christmas Day Watch.

Ok it’s nearly time. Can I resurrect this thread? This is my choice this year. Happy Christmas all you TZers!

    UX today, 857 tomorrow.

I had a "moment" earlier as I watched my six year old daughter looking through my granddad's service binoculars from WW2.

Reminded me of what our forefathers gave for our freedom. I can't imagine the horrendous sights my granddad saw through those; fast forward 80 years and here's my little'un screaming with laughter as she looked at the Christmas tree in close up.

Even though I’m still in the Mark XX honeymoon period I have just put on grandad’s watch as is tradition.

It’s a really classy watch that really should see more use.

Brought back to this condition by Paul Walker 👍

Unless my wife surprises me with a watch for Christmas it will be this:

I have a beautiful, wonderful and caring partner.
But giving me a watch as a Christmas present, would never be on her shopping list.
So what a thoughtful wife, who takes on board your passion.

Aye, always wear grandad’s watch. He was a lovely man from another era. Don’t make them like him anymore.

  19. #119
I’ll be wearing this - I’ve been wearing something less dressy recently, but Christmas calls for something special.

I wear my Seiko Pogue around Christmas. It's a lovely burst of colour. Lovely character.

I don't wear it much outside December mind.

Some gold for Christmas Eve- but may switch to the X-33 for tomorrow for timing the roast and veg.

I'll be wearing this which I wore to both my Nan and grandads funerals. Bit of remembrance for them on Christmas day.

    Merry Christmas everyone.

An old (pre-service) pic. This is my father's watch, a gift to him from my uncle in the late 1970s. Sad that that generation is gone.

Such a shame they didn't have those hands on the earlier MM200 models. What a difference they make.
