That was my first 'grail' watch, purchased new in 1967 - My boss had the 'de Ville' version with a gorgeous 'sheen' dial - lovely !!!As has become tradition I have just put Grandad’s watch on for Christmas.

I had a "moment" earlier as I watched my six year old daughter looking through my granddad's service binoculars from WW2.
Reminded me of what our forefathers gave for our freedom. I can't imagine the horrendous sights my granddad saw through those; fast forward 80 years and here's my little'un screaming with laughter as she looked at the Christmas tree in close up.
Smiths Commando until the cooking is done.
