    Rain

Another day of rain FFS - when will it stop. I’m on the next flight out of this country (England) after Xmas. Had enough.

Sunny down here in London but we've had a grey, grim week.

I have to admit, we could do with a good run of crisp, frosty mornings followed by sunny, clear blue skies, but cold enough to see your breath all day. Perfect.

aye lovely and bright here today, might head for a run by the beach, perhaps even a bracing dip afterwards.

I guess Croydon has its own micro-climate. Rain all morning and still grey now

Lovely sun here in Darlington at the moment. We had torrential rain last night though. Last 2 days have been grey and wet.

Lovely day here in Rennes, I've just had to lower the blind due to the sun streaming through the window.

Lovely down in Chichester, might take the dog down to the beach later and possibly even take a pic and post in the Watches in the Sunshine thread.

Every time I go outside to put up Christmas lights it starts raining, best excuse ever

Must have blinked and missed the sun, bit grey and cloudy now. Feel like it's rained non stop the last 2 weeks, it's a mud fest walking the dogs

I appreciate I'm no doubt in a small minority, but I enjoy a bit of weather...

Best thing you can buy in the UK is a full Goretex suit and wellies, the Romans probably called the UK "that s####y cold wet windy place"

Best thing you can do is subscribe to a weather radar app. I live pretty close to OP and woke up to the rain, looked at my app and realised it was going to be pretty short lived and just a showery day.

    It's winter.

Use Dark Sky app to see how long it will last and look at the map for cloud cover. Works for me and my dog.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

The weather is fine. Mid December and no salt on the roads, no rain, no puddles. A perfect morning to take the 914 from the barn for a trip to the workshop, 10 miles to the east.

Basking in glorious December early morning sunshine.

Just had a thunderstorm here in Cheltenham, complete with lightning. Very strange for December.

It seems to have been biblical here for weeks.

Sick and tired of it to be honest.

Just been caught in another downpour whilst taking the hound for a walk.

It must know, as it waited until I just got into the park.

Lovely 914 in a great colour. Nice to see a Porsche that doesn't look like it's trying to be so macho.

It was lovely and sunny when I was watching the eldest Daughter play football early afternoon (8-0 to her team if anyone was curious about the score!).

Think yourself lucky that you don't live in Cornwall. 89.2mm yesterday and its been raining pretty much non stop since the 1st of October. You tend to notice these things when you are a farmer. I'm just as fed up with it as you ....... but not enough to leave the country or county.

    Where you headed?

  30. #30
It’s been pretty dry up here in Norfolk, in fact the sun has been out the last few days and it’s been a clear blue sky. The weather seems much more localised up here - if it’s raining here it can be dry just a couple of miles up the road. Never noticed that when I was in London - the winters seemed greyer somehow. Mind you when it’s grey up here it’s really grey!

At least all this rain is keeping it very mild with 15 degC forecast in the SE for today. Amazing for deep mid-winter. We’ve had colder days in July.

On the Costa del cymru it’s rained every day for what seems like 3 months. My garage wall has become damp and I’ve had to hang sheeting on over it until the weather improves and I can tank the wall.

No frost though, and I’ve not worn my winter coat yet...

Temperatures on the Northumberland coast are unseasonably warm right now. I was on the beach with the dog yesterday and it couldn't have felt less like Christmas week. The sun was out and warm, too warm for the coat I had on, and not a breath of wind.

Not exactly sunny, but at least dry and rather warm here in Wiltshire today.

Explains why it’s a green and pleasant land.
