Okey dokey. Fitted the strap, it’s still a squidge too big for my 16.5cm wrist, so I’ve enquired about the smaller clasp.

The watch looks great - all of the charm and character of a U1, but in a size more suitable for me.

    Some more Shalako-style pics...

Looks fabulous but so does that Moser! What model is the Moser please?

Need to see one "in the flesh" but looks better than I expected it might.

Sinn do an excellent butterfly clasp for the rubber straps. I got mine from Neil at Chronomaster.

What's the advantage of the larger clasp, it doesn't state on the Sinn website. I assume it's got micro adjustment?

The Sinn looks great, love the contrast with strap. The Moser is stunning btw; never paid any attention to the model, but it just looks stunning in that photo.

I don't think there is any advantage to the larger clasp - I just liked the look of it. There's no micro-adjustment on it though, so once you've cut that rubber, that's your lot!

The Moser is fantastic. It has applied luminous ceramic numerals :)

LOVE the colour combo you've gone for with the U50

I believe the larger clasp incorporates a swing-out diving-suit extension, but I don't have one, so can't be sure.

Congratulations "gladders" on the latest arrival, your watch looks great, the red/black colour combo is very striking. Yesterday the delivery time on the Sinn website said 5 to 7 days for your U50 S and 8 weeks for the standard U50 (screenshots on this forum: https://uhrforum.de/threads/sinn-neu...432732/page-23 )

As of time of writing this, the waiting time for the U50 S has changed to 5 weeks. The standard U50 has reduced to 7 weeks. I was told on a telephone conversation with Sinn that my fully tegimented U50 was expected some time mid, possibly late, July. They said the standard (ie; not fully tegimented) models would be out a couple of weeks sooner.

I'd love to see a few more wrist shots if you get time to take some as I also have a 16.5cm wrist and am curious to see how the watch wears

I reckon that would suit one of their white rubber straps too. Perfect holiday watch, if holidays ever become a thing again.

    Congrats! Enjoy the new watch.

I never really noticed until the first photo but the paintjob on the hands aren't as crisp as I thought. Gives it more of a handmade touch I suppose.

    I've just checked.

On my 757 bracelet that was the case.

On the big clasp I got with my U1 B (recently purchased) the big clasp has no diving suit extension but it does have some "post strap cut" adjustment. This adjustment must be a comparatively recent addition as the older big clasps didn't have it.

My EZM1 large clasp has a fold out dive extension and no micro adjustment. Which is a joke really as it makes the clasp almost as thick and heavy as the watch.

I don't know about this one, but on the EZM1 one you cannot cut the strap, and then decide to use the smaller clasp. the ends would be too far away.

Does anyone have the smaller clasp that they could share pictures of? I was wondering the difference (other than size) myself, but would be good to see from an asthetics POV.

So the ~pilot-y~ watch has a dive suit extension, but the diver's watch, not? Uncharacteristically barmy of our German chums!

Talking of barmy... the size of that clasp is just insane!

But it is Titanium, so featherlight and huge. EZM1 is only 40mm diameter.

Agreed, the ezm1 clasp is a nightmare for getting the right fit and expensive if you cut the rubber wrong. In the end I put a 103 rubber on and sourced another ezm1 rubber (they are embossed with ezm1) which I will never cut or wear but keeps the set complete.

Liking the size of the U50 a lot, although I had got used to seeing 44mm of U1, just not on my wrist!

Another 16.5cm wrist here, so really interested in the clasp/strap/wrist photos. The more I look at the U50, the more interested I am in one, if it fits as well as I suspect it should.

Sinn are sending me a smaller clasp, so I should have some better images next week. Fingers crossed!
