I’m probably ahead of myself and it may not happen for some time, but I’m thinking about what we would need to put in place if and when we reopen our office. We’re quite fortunate that’s it’s a very large older building with a lot of space. Nearly everyone has their own office and the reception area is large and desks are probably 3 metres apart.
At some time in the future clients will return for appointments - that could be in two months or a year, who knows!
Any thoughts as to what we should get and where to get it from? Face masks? Gloves? Sanitizers? Etc.

I work in food packaging supplying all the major supermarkets in the Uk so we’ve had to continue working throughout this.
We’ve done the following. It’s quite a big site and employs just under 400 people.
Departments that work from home are doing.
In the office we have
Hand sanitizer
Nitrile gloves
Surgical wipes
Tissues
We are asking staff in the office to do the following.
Temperature testing on entry. I sourced a unit that you walk up to and it takes your temperature straight away, so no need for a third party or any delay. I can put you in touch with my supplier if you wish. £300 each I think.
All staff to wipe down their own desk, pc, phone etc before starting work.
Office is marked out at two metre marking.
We haven’t introduced masks because people are on phones a lot.
Regular hand washing and hand sanitiser used if anyone leaves or enters the office.
Because of how our site is designed we have multi access points and toilet facilities so we have divided staff up with staggered start and finish times.

That’s just the start, the business and it’s management team are doing a lot more that I haven’t listed.

Yes to everything above. I would add applying copper tape to all door handles and other surfaces used by employees where practical. Plenty of evidence that copper kills virus in a short time.
All of the above is good advice and obviously update risk assessments and Safe systems of work to reflect the needs of your employees
I've been tackling this for the last two days, the two metre rule is impossible in walkways and corridors, people will have to use common sense, everyone two metres apart, no one facing each other, use face masks when walking around, face shields for people operating assembly lines, hand sanitiser stations, anti bac soap in toilets.
Biggest problem is the toilets not sure how we will cope with that, I think people will just have to be sensible.
If your building lends itself to one way systems this is the way to go.

I don't plan on reopening our office until it is safe to do so. Remote systems work fine and it would only be worth going in if clients or colleagues want to meet, all of which is difficult to do with social distancing.
What do you think we have been doing in the hospitals since Jan!! Not hard just wash your hands and don’t touch yourself

We've got 2m markings on all walkways
1 way system in place
Hand sanitiser everywhere
Staggered start/finish/breaks
Blocked off sections of urinal troughs and traps to limit numbers
Empty warehouse space made into more canteen space
More outside area marked off for additional smoking area with chairs suitably distanced
Marshals in place on shop floor ensuring rules are adhered to
Shop floor 'fog' sanitised every weekend

Regarding doors, we are planning to wedge all our internal fire doors open the automatic closers so staff do not need to open them.

Our insurance company’s told us we wouldn’t be covered in the event of a fire if we did this
I believe it is also an offence to wedge them open.

Been busy with interest from local businesses.
It is not wedging them open, they auto close if the fire alarm goes off, a similar system is used in hospitals. We had them at our last and declared them to our landlords insurance with out any issue.
