I am wearing a new arrival, a style of watch I would not have dreamt of looking for.

    Here it is

A Paul Picot Firshire chronograph running the Lemanis 1872 movement (Picot used Lemania movements almost exclusively until Lemania's demise).
I am quite surprised to say I love it.

Ordered Omega nato Monday arrived yesterday. I know 155 euro is a lot for a strap but the quality is good and I've seen omega buckles go for almost 80 euro on their own.

    Fitted with the instructions here

    Colour combination definitely works.

    Cheers,

I think is the first time I see a Paul Picot shown on this forum...very popular brand in my country instead...unfortunately on the way to disappear...

Doh! Yes, of course, that makes perfect sense and has now been done, so you can rest easy Ben.

Yes, they are very strong in the Italian market but totally absent over here. Their use of Lemania movements means that I have been aware of them for ages, but this is the first I have ever bought. It would be a shame if an indpeendent like them goes to the wall.

Thanks. Yes, and something of the Franck Muller and so forth, but I guess this is, in reality, a 1920s/30s design originally.

As my trip abroad has been cancelled this was the first practical use of the +/- functionality. To move the hour hand so it no longer obscured the big date.

Didn't work as in failed to tell the time?
Or didn't work as in clashed with your eye-liner?
