    Mexican Standoff

We have a nature walk behind our house that was created about 18 years ago, its now quite established and mature. I walk the dog round twice a day and she often runs into the undergrowth to chase whatever she smells hears etc as Terrier's do. Anyway yesterday we came round the bend and the dog stopped dead, normally they are gone as soon as they hear you but this one stood it's ground for a couple of minutes before taking flight in to the trees

Apparently 'it' ran off in to the trees,,

    Great picture.

Deer come around the woods at the back of our house and I have to keep Dot on the lead all of the time when I take her out just in case she caught one, although they are fast!

Sadly there was a dead one in the woods last year and I watched it being slowly dismantled and devoured over time by unseen creatures.
    Cheers,
    Neil.

Elves, tree sprites and animals devoured by unseen creatures.

Its sounds like a mysterious and dangerous place. I hope that you keep your windows and doors secure at night.
