Panerai appreciation thread

I had a similar issue with my 0118 and 1661 straps. These straps are rubber-ish and when you tighten then it scapes the strap and in the end damages it. I sent panerai pics (went straight to he source) and said I wasn’t happy. Same as you they said we would look into it, etc etc, Said I losing confidence in the brand and they need to sort it asap. Not sending my watch you have the pics. They mentioned replacement straps wasn’t available to which I said that it totally unacceptable for a brand such a panerai. Had new straps writhing 3 days.

Be polite and say you are not happy with the quality being form a reparable brand such as panerai. Hopefully they will pull their finger out and get it sorted.

Yeah, I know what you mean. They have a few nice subs that I like but their trade in so crazy low and they don’t reduce the sale price very much either.

Would you buy a Tritium dial in preference to Super Luminova?

Obviously the lume will be degraded on the T dial, but the Patina is fantastic.

Will T dials hold their value more?

New to me PAM799, 47mm compared to my PAM1029, 42mm Azzurro, both 2022 full sets and both absolutely lovely. Ordered a light blue OEM strap for the 47mm, and I didn't particularly rate the black one on the Azzurro either; brilliant quality accordion strap, but the black is too plain.

Don’t have one ,but it’s a newer model with a vintage look,I quite like the fake patina on the numbers.

Naturally. It changes depending on the environment and appears different every time I wear it. Strap colour makes a big difference as well.

I ’m currently on holiday and this is after a few days in a salt water pool and strong sunlight.

I’ve owned the 968 for just over a year now and reversed the patina twice in that time. That’s really easy to do.
