    Baltic Bicompax

Any experiences or views. Looking for a Chronograph and like a sporting / vintage style and this blue dial looks pretty attractive.

Any similar mechanical chronographs under / around the £1k mark?

    Thanks

I like the look of their three handers.

I would struggle, no strike that, I absolutely could not own and wear a watch with ”MANUEL” on the dial. I would always think it was from Barcelona and knew nothing...

The Chinese Seagull in the chrono is not advisable. Others may say different.

The nearest you are going to get with a decent mechanical movement would be the Hamilton Jazzmaster Maestro Auto Chrono for around £1K.

I have the 3 hander and even though its got a supposedly cheap non hacking movement (yes, I'd like it to have a better one and possibly just hand winding but still, its alright) its seemed to have settled at +2spd and wont budge from that (or as close as you can get non hacking)

I did fancy the chrono too and that movement is interesting.
Looks wise its great and the blue is almost black most of the time.
Cons? The bezel could be smaller but thats about it.

Ooh that's nice... really shows the blue off... closer to black... Like a bottle of blue ink

The three handed watch looks very nice there is a review on the watch forum. As much as the chronograph looks nice I really couldnt trust a Seagull chronograph again. The three handed one as nice as it is I think would be better without the display back. Strange though the divers watch they have looks like a Yema Superman.

The proportions are perfect and I’ve dithered over purchasing one many times but this is the one thing that has stopped me. I’d be happy to pay more for one with an ETA movement - hopefully they will go down this road in the future when they are more established.

I had one for nearly a year and really liked it. I understand people's concerns over the seagull movement but I'm sure I remember reading somewhere that they do extra QC on them in France before fitting them. I certainly didn't have any problems.

I've got no experience with Baltic but I'm very very keen to pick up an Aquascaphe!
