Don't blame you those Vostok are shite!
Seriously , same as you never regretted a sale.
There's lots of chat about regretting sales, and plenty of examples of people buying the same model multiple times. I've sold twenty watches over the last five years, and I don't regret a single sale. Anyone else?
I appreciate there's not a lot to said on this subject, so this might not be a very interesting thread.....

Same here bought loads and sold loads and even the ones that would be worth a lot more than when i sold them.
Regrets i've had a few but selling watches isn't one of them.
I had a fantastic little Wostok dress watch, very light, lovely dial, but it didn't have minute markers and I preferred the idea of it getting into the possession of a friend of mine with an excellent collection of Soviet watches while the chrome plating was still in decent condition.
And so that's the thing: there's always something that makes me want to be rid of it, and it's not hard remembering what it was.
I regretted letting a Sinn 556i go so bought another one down the line which I subsequently let go again. I'm cured now.
Only regret I have was selling a white dial PP 5711 about 3 years ago.
Paul (walkerwek) commented on this on the other thread and I think there’s some truth in the fact that we could probably be pigeonholed into several catagories of enthusiast. I’ve little knowledge of psychological profiling, but they’d probably have a field day on here - we’re probably not as individual as we’d like to think. I’m envious of you or anyone else with no regrets about what you’ve sold.
This is the thread for you: https://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.php?t=438736
Not one. A few times I've bought back watches I sold but then moved them on again after remembering why I'd sold them in the first place. There's nothing that has left me that I regret selling.
I regretted selling an Oris diver which had been my only watch for about 10 years, so I bought another, which I then never wore, and sold it.
I regretted selling a Nighthawk, so I've bought another........
Same as a few above – I've sold then bought back a number of watches, probably simply because they became available again than through any desperate need to fill the aching void of regret. I treat them as a bit of a fun hobby rather than emotional investments.
I have, however, regretted not checking the availability of toilet paper in a public convenience before concluding the business. That's proper regret.
The only one that I regretted selling was the Omega 300 Spectre, moved on to help fund a new kitchen. I liked the watch a whole lot more than the kitchen!

No, though I have yet to sell one. It's an indulgence and I can't be doing with the bother.
Regrets, not really. If the decision was right at the time then there is little point in looking back in anger even if everything you sell leaps in value or desirability.
I have had several watches three times, but I think my record is six for the Steinhart Vintage Red. That is clearly some form of madness, but fun at the same time.
The beauty of the cheaper end of the spectrum is that you can get away with swopping and changing.
I would imagine a lot of regrets are financial ones i.e. the price has gone up substantially since. Reason being if it hasn’t you can always buy again, however if it’s a 5711 or 116500 for example has gone through the roof.
I have only sold a few watches - no regrets.
I have identified 6-8 others to sell. If I do get around to selling them I am confident that there will be no regrets.
There are probably 2-3 others that I think of selling, but think that I might regret it if I do.
For sure this one, my 36mm 116234 datejust and my 36mm explorer.
I thought 36mm was too small!! Big mistake.

Not wanting to be a bore clogging up the Which Watches Do You Regret Selling thread, I start the opposite of it....and on it people post watches they regret selling.
This feels very TZ UK.
Bit of a mix for me. I have sold a few and not missed them despite thinking I would. And there are a few I have held onto simply because I think I will miss them if they go. I guess you don’t know until they go.
Like a lot on here I have more than I can wear and some don’t get worn for ages. But when I wear them again I remember why I wanted them in the first place and it then becomes tough to let them go.

Not really ,well maybe the 5513,14060,explorer 1,Seiko sdga, etc, etc but it's been fun trying lots of watches
I can always rationalise selling a watch but sometimes later regret and wish to have back. Its not really sensible .

To answer the question in the title: no
Martyn
I don’t regret selling my PRS4 as it was an impulse purchase to start with and I still have a half dozen of Eddie’s excellent time pieces to keep me going ;)
Are there any watches people regret holding onto? In other words, depreciation and/or no longer flavour of the month/year. Answering the question, wish I still had my Monaco, Monza and Superocean. Miss the Monza the most...

It would make you a rubbish watch dealer!

What are regrets?
They're just lessons you haven't learnt yet.
I have a very occasional pang of regret over the PRS-29a, but essentially no regrets

I've not technically sold a watch but I've let a few go for various reasons. Regrets, too few to mention.

No, sold this one...............and regretted it, it's beautiful watch. Never wore it enough though which is strange considering how much I liked it!
Then sold my lovely blue wavy dial 1120 Seamaster.
...to be replaced later with this one!!

I regret almost every watch I have ever sold, and that goes right back to 1971 when I bought a silver centre seconds enamel dial trench watch by Stauffer et Cie Genève for £2.00 at Portobello Market.
The back was signed Captain James Allworthy RAMC and dated 1916.
Sadly he was killed in action.
I got £300.00 for it. Probably worth 5k now !

Yep one that stick in my mind. Regret is a yema superman II divers Great watch I wish I had kept
LHD Pelagos......sold
Bought another and......SOLD.
Didn't lose a cent in both transactions.
Not sure why sold as its a great watch.
Same with BB Bronze.....should have kept.
But onwards and upwards.
No more selling no more buying...that works.
I had just typed out a response which effectively answered the thread question as "no" but then I started thinking of some of the watches I have sold and actually found myself wishing I hadn't in some instances.....so "yes".
But then I have,in the past, replaced watches I had previously sold because I decided I wanted them again only to sell them on fairly quickly for much the same reasons as I sold them originally. So "no"
I am very confused this morning!
For me the answer depends on the timescale: I usually get a little sellers remorse for a couple of days but then it’s forgotten about and I’ve moved on so no longer think about it.
I have never regretted selling a watch...because I’ve never sold one.
Reading this thread made me realise I am a bit of a hoarder. Nothing wrong with selling watches, I admire members who flip different watches so they can try expensive models. I just know I couldn’t let one go.
Even some charity auctions specials I’ve bought on here, which I’ll never wear, I’ll probably eventually give to grandkids when they arrive. Even that will be a wrench!
No, i have never regreted a sale.
I have however often regretted not buying a watch i have seen, usually because i have never seen one like it again.
My wife cured me of this recently by making me buy the Smiths PRS-29am to stop this happening yet again. I am glad she did.
I have sold watches, only to buy most of them back later....so much for trying to flip.
One was a modded watch and die to some great people here I managed to trace it back.

No regrets here. But then I've only sold a few over the years, not being a flipper. No regrets, mainly because I'm either selling to attain a higher goal, ie. buy a better piece, after really thinking it through, or enjoy the slight relief that comes with having fewer watches to look after, service etc.
Selling watches, or anything actually, is a pain.

I sold most of my collection when I bought my Sub ND with absolutely no regrets, then a Hulk became available so sold the Sub again with no regrets
Change in circumstances meant that the Hulk should go
Now I regret selling all of them
Hey ho
No in answer to the question
Plenty regrets.
