    Fake Casio G-Shock DW-5600BB

Received this yesterday, fulfilled by Amazon.

Right from the packaging it didn't feel right. Lots of small alarm bells then I spotted one massive give away . . .

    . . . can you see it?

Obviously I can get a full refund from Amazon. And I've reported the seller to their customer services. So no loss other than my time.

Hoping it may be of use/interest to others.

One of my favourite gshocks - this version’s so nice they decided to illuminate it twice!

Yes, it should say Start/Stop rather than Light/Stop.

    Seller was CGJHKMDXRFYHJDU.

Sorry to hear you've had some grief with that, although Amazon are excellent when it comes to refunds.
Please also leave a comment and post your photo as an Amazon review, which will help others steer clear of that seller.
I can guess what star rating he may receive, if you do.

Thank you, appropriate seller feedback will be left.

I would have to think carefully about a product review though.

There are multiple sellers of this watch under the same product listing, the majority of whom will have the genuine article!

What you have there is the rare double light G-Shock. Hold onto that beauty, a solid investment piece.

...Although, I’m sure Amazon will come through with a refund should you decide to go down that route.

Can you tell us here the name of the seller? This is starting to become a thing that people start threads regarding fake watches and we as members don't learn anything more than the fact there are fake watches out there, which we already know.

Edit ignore me - that string of bizarre characters was the seller name?!

What were the other things you noticed ? It would be interesting to have a few pictures of the other fake bits, so others here know what to look for.

It's gone back to Amazon now, so I can't take any more photos I'm afraid.

First off the packaging didn't feel right. It felt cheap, if one lot of cardboard can feel cheaper than another?

The hangtag didn't have a barcode on the back.

And visible in the photo above, the protuberances at 10:30 (and 1:30, 4:30 and 7:30) and the two circular indentations at the start of the strap weren't as deep or defined by comparison to other pictures I'd seen.

I may, however, have put all of these down to being over-critical until I saw the Light/Stop blunder.

To be fair to the seller, if this was an FBA (fulfilled by Amazon) item, he/she will have purchased these and had them shipped directly to Amazon's warehouse, without actually having seen them. It may be that previous batches of stock were 100% OK, then they have been caught.
