I was surprised it was only valued at £2500. Is it an old show I wonder?

His wife was present. I pray that after my death mrs SJ doesn’t sell my knives and watches for what I told her I paid for them...

Just watched this whilst eating a home-made curry with home- made chapattis........I was concentrating more on my culinary efforts than the watch!

It looked like a decent example, excellent dial and handset. Case needed refinishing to get the original grqind effect back.........nit a job for the faint- hearted, these really have to be done on a lapping machine.

No idea about the value, personally I don’t like these watches!

It was a very nice 145.036, the 3rd iteration of the Flightmaster with revised crystal retaining seal design. It actually has the correct circular brush finish that was used on some of these cases, and was in very nice condition. You need to have one on the wrist before dismissing them. They wear very well! I love them.

And the "expert" told him it was "automatic", and that the GMT-setting crwon was a "button".
