Thread: What a second new arrival in a week?

What a second new arrival in a week?

It has been a long time since I have picked up 2 new additions in one week but I was able to collect this watch which has been waiting for me for about a month!

    So OK it’s a Zenith!

I like the new smaller boxes!

Here it is a Zenith Defy Classic Skeleton

A closer look of that dial or lack of!

The bracelet is excellent and really amazing build quality and super light as it is titanium as is the case.

A good slim profile so very versatile

I was a bit unsure on the direction Zenith was heading when they started to release this new collection, felt they were starting to look a bit Hublot-esque. However, that does look very good on the wrist. Enjoy!

Fantastic, one of the best skeleton's out there. Two Q's - does it have micro adjustment on the bracelet and do you have any case back pics? And lastly no see through arm hair to contend with

Really like that, congratulations, what’s the other one

Another mildly dissenting voice insofar as I've never really got the appeal of skeleton watches. Just me, I admit, but I like to see (and pay for) interesting dial design and legibility.

Looks very nice, and quite legible, my usual issue with skeleton watches. Can’t go wrong with any Zenith El Primero in my opinion - stunning watches.

I don't usually like skeleton watches but that's very nice and quite legible.
    Well done.

i like this model I'm not normally into skeleton dials but the style and legibility of this really stands out!

A couple of new shots. The bracelet is lovely but it is a pig to remove the links. The screws twist and so you need two screw drivers and they are tightened so tightly that it takes some effort to loosen the screws. Once loose then it is a doddle but some choice words were spoken when removing a link! Really need to remove one more but not sure I can face it! Also no micro adjustment on the bracelet which seems lacking really for a watch of this calibre.

Now the back of the Elite movement

Additional good points are the watch’s super slim profile and the lume is excellent.

That's an extremely attractive watch, Zenith are undervalued at the best of times imho.

    Zenith

Lovely looking watch and i seriously considered buying one. I ended up with the Defy El Primero 21 with the skeleton dial but it was a close call between both watches. Enjoy.

Thanks for your info - strange about the lack of micro adjustment on the bracelet. Oh well. Surprising lume actually.

I love this. I really want it as my next watch but that won’t be for some time unfortunately:(

I think I slightly prefer it on rubber but the bracelet does look amazing!

    Enjoy (you lucky bar steward)

Love it, something different from the usual sights and the attention to detail is spot on in all areas!

I'm really looking forward to seeing this in the flesh at some point. I think it's the first skeleton dial I've liked the look of and the case and bracelet is largely responsible for that - they do a non-skeleton version with a nice blue dial but that just seems lacking in comparison.
    In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.

That’s sounds like time for a curry and pint!

I also agree with you the blue dial is nice but seems a little lacking when compared to its naked brother. The integrated bracelet makes it for me as the fit and finish is excellent and being titanium it is so light

Sits well on the wrist, may try one on next time I visit an AD. Shame about the lack of micro adjustment though.

That’s really nice OP, I’ll be honest I’m a little lost on all the variants is this the one with the typical balance wheel?

I know a few curry houses - count me in if anything get arranged? I am seriously looking at a Defy 21 - with the blue accents on strap - but need to sell something if that is to happen. Or just keep saving for a year or two.

Stunning, I'm really tempted by the blue dialled version. Reminds me of an AP RO slim in terms of the heavily brushed case and bracelet.

I managed to get about 18-19% off my El Primero 21 from Rox Diamonds, which I thought was pretty decent. I refused the interest free but opted for a saving scheme. I pay each month and get the watch at the end of it. So instead of paying a year or two I paid it over 5 months.

Curry still on ? Would be fun as you could see the Defy 21 that landed late last year as well!

Love this piece. I’ve been thinking of the closed dial defy el primero to replace my breitling super avenger which is way too bulky for my small wrist. The 1/100th of a second chrono is interesting but may become boring.
