    Going rate for Speedy pushers?

    Hi all,

I finally got around to ask my independent watchmaker to have a look at replacing the missing chrono pusher for my pre-moon 145.012-67. I was a bit surprised when they quoted me EUR 200 (£180) for a used pusher. Is that really the going rate these days?

    Any feedback appreciated.

No idea about the cost of a pusher, but that is a lovely speedmaster you have there.

After a bit of internet research I think I need a 086ST0053 pusher for the 145.012. Can one of those in the know confirm?

The 086ST0053 can be had NOS for $54 at Ofrei in the US. Anyone know where to find in Europe to save the wait and hassle?

Not sure about omega, but a new pusher from breitling was £45. Though that was for a 2012 watch and they also insist on a full service to install it so ends up pretty expensive!

Might be worth a call to STS?

Nice watch but IMO I am not surprised about that price. I'll try to find you the exact price from omega

    That's a good options.

The price for the 086ST0053 is approx £30 for the pusher but it's not a piece you can order from an agent it needs to go for service.

Thanks for the replies so far, very appreciated. I spoke to the watchmaker again this morning and they are telling me they are only planning to replace the cap rather that the whole pusher. I find the 200 Euros more than ridiculous for a used cap.

Any idea where I can buy a pusher cap only?

Cant help with pusher cap but you can get the whole pusher on chrono24 for £115. Still a lot of money but cheaper than £180

    https://www.chrono24.co.uk/omega/par...-id9145383.htm

Edit: Serial number is different but may be worth asking seller if they can get relevant part.

You can buy the whole pusher for some 50 dollars from Ofrei.

Apologies, missed that. That is a bargain in comparison! Whilst the wait will be annoying I think that would be my go to option in this instance. Hopefully someone else can recommend a more convenient solution!

In case one of the members has a pusher cap knocking about, I am interested to buy it.

I checked cousins and couldn't find them. Care to help me out and supply the link?

Watch parts branded, omega, omega case parts, then put the case number in for all available parts.

    Or just search 086ST0059

Also, just to say, personally i would always replace both at the same time, and take the movement out, ultrasonic clean the case and replace seals etc.
It's worth it while the watch is apart, and you need to remove the old loctite residue before fitting the new pusher.

Thank you, very appreciated. I somehow had parts number 086ST0053, that's why I didn't find them.

You sure this is the correct one? They seem to be the pushers for modern Speedies? Mine is a 145.012-67.

As I remember, Omega specify two pushers in this timeframe for use as replacements now - they may not be identical to the pushers fitted in period but are what they use as replacements:

    145012 calls for pusher 086ST0007

145022 calls for pusher 086ST0059 (this is the modern pusher as you noted and should apply up to watches sold now).

One difference is in the length as the 0007 is longer than the 0059 but, that's not to say the 0059 won't work with a 145012 case and I do know that some companies list this - just checked Cousins and they list the 0059 for both cases. Externally, I think they both look the same and both are available from Cousins. Without seeing the watch in hand, I couldn't confirm which one your case is using and I'd suggest checking with your watchmaker.

Very nice watch and I assume you sent it in for a service due to the chrono creep?

    Regards, Chris

Thanks to evryone who contributed, especially to Normunds for sending his pusher.

The watch came back yesterday with the new pusher cap and I am very happy.

I'm not surprised, it looks superb!

Nope, doesn't bother me at all. It can be fixed at the next regular service.

Ah OK, it was only in for a pusher.

    Looks a really nice watch.

    Cheers, Chris
