Alternative to Hiut (dont require breaking in)

I got a lovely pair of hiut jeans but they will have to go back, i hadnt realised (not researched well enough) how stiff they were and how much breaking in is required. Given i may wear a pair of jeans once a week this isnt really going to work for me.

can any one recommend similarly well made jeans that are pre washed ?

Don't shoot me down everyone but I believe you can wash these jeans without breaking them in, they probably just won't be as comfortable in the long run or have more colour contrast between where they wear and don't.

It doesn't take long to get them going, you only need to wear them for a few evenings after work to set them off, give them a cold wash and it will take away some of the colour but most if not all of the stiffness (starch?).

Nudie and Edwin are my go to jeans. both hard raw and pre-washed options and can be picked up cheaply over the internet from time to time.

I found the Uniqlo jeans a fair bit slimmer than other brands. I couldn't get into a "34" waist. Of course a 34 is actually about 37 inches on most brands.

This, I’d stick them on a long cold wash with white wine vinegar. Then wash a few time normally and they won’t need much breaking in.

Did you get the selvidge Hiut denim or the organic denim. Big difference in softness with the selvidge being really stiff to start with. I switched to the organic denim and find they’ve softened beautifully.

I prefer selvedge but i’ve found the nudie jeans to be very comfortable & soft.

I could do with some of these after a long bike ride.
