To say I'm smitten is an understatement. I feel so lucky.
I've got a real soft spot for that watch. Congratulations!

    Gone but not forgotten...

    36mm cal 2500C

    38.5mm cal8500

Don't miss the later one even though it was a nice watch, always felt a bit thick and a tad too big for my taste. The 36mm blue dial is the one I regret selling, it was a cracking example and I hadn't paid a lot for it. Could've serviced it myself too.

Here’s mine. Still my favourite watch. Though I agree with Walkerwerk that it does seem unnecessarily thick.

Tasty pork pie too. Plug for Appleton’s butchers in Wetherby!

Agreed. Often the chase is 90% of the enjoyment, but I expect that is not the case here.

Quartz First Generation 36mm's 2518.50 (black dial) and 2518.80 (blue dial).

I wear the gloss black version quite a lot ; the blue sunburst less so. Both currently keepers in my collection. Did have the silver sunburst dial variant as well (2518.30), but sold that earlier this year.

I think they nailed it straight off the bat with this First Gen styling (especially with the applied logo and indices, and how slim the watches are). I don't think any of the subsequent revisions are any improvement on the original.

The first expensive watch I bought about 20 years ago. I still enjoy wearing it.
Exactly my way into watches at about the same time. Still looks great.
