Mudmaster with a bit of moss

Struggled with G Shocks for years until Andy rocked up at the NORWICH GTG last year with a GWG 1000 on his wrist, I was sold.

A few days on and I had one in the collection and it has figured a lot in the past year on holidays and the beach and generally let’s be a bit different.

Loved the black look but have been hankering after a green for months and finally bagged one for £20 this week and it works very very well. Strap change over was extremely easy and complete in a couple of mins.

Here’s the pics and well worth trying.

I guess he means £20 for the green strap? Otherwise a utter bargain!

Haha, yes. 😃 Really shouldn't try to read posts on my phone.

Watch looks great by the way. 👍😃👍

That looks great. I've always liked the green strap but find the all black version to be more legible. This is the best of both worlds. £20 sounds like a bargain.

    It... erm... resists... erm... mud.

I've often wondered this myself, surely if it's water resistant it's mud resistant by default, so it's just marketing guff. Or does mud really have some special penetrating properties?

The Mud Resistance refers to the buttons on the watch being fully
    functional when covered in mud.

Was thinking has it got a treatment silicone based maybe like that RainX stuff you put on your windscreen that makes it totally moisture repellant. Genuinely interested in the answer to this.

There’s basically a seal on all the buttons to prevent crud getting in. Water will just dry out but hard mud will jam them up - I think that’s why they dlc coat the metal inner cases on screwback G’s - salt water might linger on the case, but the dlc stops them rusting. Most normal G’s have a plastic case covered by rubber, with a gap that water can get between (all helps the shock proofing) so a bit of dried saltwater wouldn’t be an issue, whereas left against bare stainless steel it would corrode over time

Ah, ok, so not necessarily like the inner case is any different, it's more about the buttons and outer case and how they work when things get messy.

    Fair enough then!
