I don't feel strongly either way.

Depends on the watch but I prefer a date window.

I like to know the date & have a head like a sieve. All watches but latest purchase have a date & I thought I would really miss the date from the recent purchase. Strangely I got used to it very quickly & love the clean look of it.

I keep going back to watches without a date but try as I might, I cannot get used to them. I seem to have no capacity to remember the date! I sign and date things all day long so find a quick glance down at my watch is the easiest way to remind myself.
It’s a pity because there’s a lot of really nice no date watches out there.

I generally don't like them but they are useful.

Given that two of my collection are day/date (well, three if you include my digital beater Casio AW-1000W) and the remaining three have date, I guess I'm fan.

I do like the look of the date at 6 o'clock over the more common 3 o'clock, but don't currently have any pieces with the 6 o'clock arrangement. I'm not convinced about 4 o'clock positioning, especially when the number is off-vertical.

I have around a dozen watches and none of them has a date.

I really like my watches with date at 3 or 6, don't really like any other position.
I do like the symmetry of no date as well, although I don't actually own any...
    I vote for👍

    I'm a convert to no date:cleaner look;simpler operation,especially if rotating watches.
I just bought a Vostok Amphibia on a whim because it looked as if it were a no date - and it is,so I am a happy cat.

    For me:

    Big date - yes
    Small date - yes
    No date - yes
Date on a thin dress watch - no
    Cyclops date - noooooo

pointless not something you need in a hurry like the time...badly executed mostly...ruins a sub for me...as an example. Advertisers puff. In legal terms.
