Stretch your budget and buy this - https://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.p...-Fifty-Fathoms
A titanium IWC Aquatimer 3536. Pure functionality at around half your budget, and much rarer and more interesting than the run-of-the-mill Rolex divers.
Sinn U1 or U2 would be my vote. Plenty of change out of either and pretty much the definition of a 'tool' watch. I've got a 2254 which I love but if you have a Sub already then in my opinion a 2254 doesn't really make sense
James ff on SC looks like an omen. Hope you bought it OP.

I've always taken my Sinn U2. Have used everything at some point bu theU2 is at home in the water.
Was going to suggest a sub but seeing as you already have one then what about a Oris divers 65?
It’s a really nice and well made divers watch, with a Discount will just be over £1k

No matter how I cut it I don't get how you can look for a watch based on price. I get there is a budget to stay within, but surely you are interested in aspects of the watch itself more than it's specific price (up to your limit).
An Eberhard diver- a new one
About 2k euros for amazing quality
Be different
Or just buy a submariner and be done with it
Sinn T1/T2?...I've recently acquired a T2 and really like it
Go left field always fancied one of these but i must admit the SD is the just one watch IMO
