    Yeah I explored having this done to my black bay red case but pretty pricey.

    At least £2000 for case. A full bracelet would add maybe £3500-£4000 mire

    Ouch, love it but a little rich for me there.

    I think the skill involved in engraving to such a high standard is breathtaking, but l think it looks totally out of place on that watch.
    On the side of a shotgun, yes, but that rolex has in my opinion - and that's all it is - been completely defaced...

    I am undecided whether I feel it is defaced or a thing of beauty. Absolutely it is very tasteful and artistic but not sure its in the right place.

    But financially out of my reach!!!

    I guess it would make it really difficult if I you had to move it on!

    Best not send it back to a RSC for service... "Sir required a service case and bracelet as we cannot remove the deep scratches"

    Imagine getting that back with all of those "deep scratches" polished out! I doubt there would be much case or strap left!

    “You’ll have your work cut out. Rolex uses this super special steel...”

    “Yeah yeah”

    Thanks for posting OP. It's not something I'd have done but it looks amazing nonetheless.

    I should imagine his works would look amazing on a shotgun.

    For me, the problem isn't the money - my wife'll pay for it - but the lead time.

    Good engravers I've approached can't complete commissions for 2 or 3 years.

    I had Viljo do the work on my Panerai;

    His lead time varies, but its not as long as mentioned above, and his charges are significantly less than quoted above aswell.

    Steve.
