The obvious answer would be Rolex St.James I guess.
But if you don't mind a trip out to Reading, have a word with Duncan, (the watch bloke).
Hi
I have a Rolex Explorer 2 (16570 with the engraved rehaut, so I think the 3186 movement).
Unfortunately the 12Hr hand and quick time zone selection have stopped working. The minute and 24hr still work fine, just the 12Hr which stated being “sloppy” and wouldn’t line up correctly, now won’t select at all.
I’m after so advice/recommendations for repair.
I’m in London if that helps!
Many thanks
DACC

Duncan did a full service on a 3186 movement EXP-II for me with no issues. He'll be about half the price of St James or less.
Wouldn't be happy if this happened in base camp as thats where Rolex seem to promote the Explorer.
Try Rolex first. Few years back my gmtc did something similar. The watch was years (4 I think) out of warranty. Not sure if the use the same movement but it's a know problem in the Gmt, was referred to online somewhere as wobbly hour hand.
They fixed it and serviced the movement foc.
