“I purchased this watch without the papers ... but subsequently had it authenticated ...”. Not a very sensible order to do things.

I’d say there’s something fishy going on.

“I will personally vouch for this watch ...”. I suspect most people would say that, irrespective of whether they are honest or not.

Just a general interest in a white gold sub, this one looks a tad dodgy tbf, does anyone own one, what’s the weight like against the standard sub.

Not once does he mention it's white gold. Erm!!

This seems to be one of those special editions Rolex does that are often restricted to dealers in Turkey and Marbella.

Well I'd suggest there are probably safer ways to educate yourself about such a watch.

It's up there with some of the poorest adverts you could possibly imagine drafting.

Doubt anyone selling a genuine watch would think it necessary to take the back off.

He knows enough to mention the movement but then doesn’t display the authentication from Charles Fox. I am in Poole - although I don’t know much about Rolex could offer a meet up at Charles Fox on Saturday to see what he says if you are thinking of bidding on it ?

It’s more than a tad dodgy; the thing is an obvious fake.

Just asked him if it's stainless or platinum. He replied with :-

Hi. It’s stainless. It’s a replacement strap from the original but is genuine Rolex.
    Thanks.

So considering this is white gold dial and bezel colour scheme, I'd say avoid

Oh yeah. White gold's flat blue not sunburst.

It's real alright which is why if I were to win it I'll be paying for it in freshly minted £12 notes from my HP printer.

It's a clear fake and the guy needs shooting for his fake sob story to go with it. Total parasite.

To be fair, a “good” BS story is quite a handy indicator that someone is up to no good!

You fools! It even says in the title it's got a Swiss ETA 2836 movement inside. How much more convincing do you need? Anyway, I am currently the high bidder and will be raffling this fine watch in Sales Corner next week.

I see your £10,000 and raise a mystery amount.

This just says it all, if you were selling a watch of this value would you really let a picture of this quality do the talking, also the movement just looks wrong wrong wrong -

Not yet. Seeing as the auction was supposed to end next Saturday, when he does contact me, I'll tell him that I need 6 days to get my Wonga loan to pay for it.
