    Minority

Will undoubtedly be in the minority on this but after the initial delight of the Pepsi return from both Tudor and Rolex, as they now start to arrive and on wrist images are provided, I am in no hurry to add any of the two into the watchbox.

Cannot see why the demand for another Tudor vintage themed model and to be honest the vintage inspired vibe is now becoming tiresome from not just Tudor but the many brands who are following what is simply a fashion trend.

The Rolex Pepsi just disappoints, from the ill fitting end links too the insipid bezel colour, what should have been the return of the classic is now just classic hype about a poorly executed reintroduced model.

I said the same about the SELs on the DSSD and SDc which most owners seem perfectly happy with. I agree it looks crude but as others have pointed out, this a design used on the new DJ and the DD 40. I could live with it

I think the point is on a £6k Rolex, is looking crude acceptable? Haven’t handled it to judge the endlink fit but aesthetically it does look really badly designed. Looks terrible. Watch itself looks very nice indeed. Be interesting to see it on a good leather

Surely the end link fit is by design. It’s not like they’ve tried to get it flush and it doesn’t fit, there’s obviously a reason it’s like that?

Of course not but then nor was the dreadful fitting SELs on the divers but hey, it didn't bother thousands of buyers. It looks ok if, as I said, a little crude but yes, it should be a nice neat fit in my book. Love the watch.

I tend to agree but it comes across as "ill-fitting" perhaps and I for one, prefer the neater end link approach but I could live with it.

I just looked at my SubC and the end links fit perfectly. But in everyday wear, the endlinks on jubilee GMT II should not be visible nor would bother me if I own this watch one day.

As about looking ill-fitted or terrible, I don't think anyone cares but some grumpy watch collectors on forums. Also it is funny how this was a big problem on forums with the SDc, but once discontinued the watch became "the best diver Rolex has ever made", "the SD to have" etc. Nobody was mentioning the end links not fitting perfectly.

It looks like the same end link arrangement on my DD/President bracelet and the photo’s greatly exaggerate it in my opinion...

Either way it doesn’t detract from either watch for me.

A lot of people here complained about the SD4k end pieces. Were they really a problem in real life? I expect this will be the same.

I can’t see what all the fuss is about regarding the colours or end links.

I think it looks great. I hope anyone who manages to get one enjoys wearing it every time.

    I'll still take one.

I take it the colours on the bezel are the same shades as the BLRO on the old white gold version? I thought they looked fine in the flesh

Tried one on at a Rolex event a couple of weeks ago - versus my SubC I thought it felt very much lighter on jubilee, yes.

It looks like the end links are designed to match the bracelet and have a deeper curve than the lugs. To make it flush, they’d have to reshape the lugs which aesthetically would probably not look so good.

    Definitely purpley!

And agree that the end links are 'inelegant' - but nice watch.

I don’t think this is correct - I own the original, and have seen the steel version, and they looked identical to me?

I really don’t get this - plenty of jubilee bracelet watches have end links which are flush with the lugs, and it looks fine. I consider what Rolex have done here a very unusual design decision... but it’s all subjective of course!

Because they don’t like it? Or at least, they don’t like the way digital photos portray the colours.

Because they previously hadn’t properly considered the modern Pepsi because it was white gold ;)

Remember someone asking for a shot beside the BLNR so here’s a quick one and both on jubilees too.

I’m preferring the look of the older Jubilee bracelet endlinks.

Looking at the 2, side by side, I think the Pepsi is the preferable variant.

As someone with a BLNR who wants to switch to the BLRO, that shot has changed my mind, the blue of the BLNR is much better and the blue GMT hand jumps out at me too. I also prefer the Oyster to Jubilee. With that in mind and the lack of availability anyway, I think my mind is made up; I prefer the BLNR!

I have a BLNR and on the list for Pepsi. I think BLNR with Oyster and Pepsi with Jubilee are different enough to happily co-exist. If I had to choose one, BLNR wins for me. Unfortunately when I went to see Pepsi at AD’s Basel ‘18 exhibition, I was wearing a different watch so couldn’t compare them side by side in the flesh and this picture (albeit on a different bracelet) is of particular interest to me.

    Same here.

The good news is that the Oyster bracelet will fit the Pepsi anyway so best of both worlds if you own a BLNR and are comfortable in changing the bracelets yourself.
