I assume delivery was to an address in Stockton-On-Tees...
*** UPDATE : THIS WATCH HAS NOW BEEN RECOVERED ***
I have been asked to look out for this Rolex Daytona, reported to have been obtained by fraud :
Serial No: US129181
*** UPDATE : THIS WATCH HAS NOW BEEN RECOVERED ***
The victim advertised the watch for sale on Ebay.
The ‘buyer’ paid for the Rolex Daytona via Paypal outside Ebay.
The ‘buyer’ then requested the watch be delivered to an address in Stock-on-Tees, Cleveland.
The watch was delivered by Royal Mail to the address and signed for. The ‘buyer’ then claimed that the watch had not been delivered and retracted the money (a five fugure sum) from the victim's account. As a result the victim has lost the watch and monies.
The ‘buyer’ has now closed all accounts/contacts on Ebay and the telephone number he provided is now dead.
The Action Fraud reference number is: NFRC180502333309

Hi Haywood, Dont suppose you have the address where the watch was being delivered to do you (or even street name). Stockton on tees is my neck of the woods and I have purchased a couple of watches locally over the years so will keep the address in mind and make sure I avoid if anything happens to come up. Last thing I want is to buy someones watch after them being scammed!
