Got a photo of the problem Jim?
Anyone who has one of these noticed if the black paint in the script has started to fall out leaving it looking and reading oddly?

Thanks Andrew.
I will get mine home and check Jimbo

I wouldn't be happy with that
Wow, I’d be straight back into Rolex prodding them in the chest mate that is not acceptable
It looks a bit shabby now, but I'd wait until all the paint has come off - I might find I prefer the caseback like that. As the watch was released in mid 2014, the OP still has at least a year of warranty left, so unless he finds it unacceptable, there's no real need to rush and replace a(n im)perfectly good caseback ...
Just checked mine and it’s all on. No signs of coming off. That said I wear mine sparingly.
I suspect it's something that happens with wear. I've seen plenty of 16600s with the black worn out of the engravings.
Hopefully it's an easy fix
Oh, I didn't realise that - they've really bumped it up then in recent years! Well, in that case, I certainly wouldn't choose to pay to fix an issue I'd personally consider minor ... though, perversely, if Rolex offered to do it free of charge, I'd probably let them because I'd feel I was profiting somehow, getting something for nothing. (Terrible thinking, I know.)
Thanks very much everyone.
I agree it’s minor or trivial. It’s a 2017 watch and hardly been worn.
I have all the docs and cards etc. Do I need to take them in to my local AD as proof or would they be able to tell from serial number etc the age and authenticity of said watch - I’ve never done this before!!!
Cheers folks
Jim
Jim, just take the loose Watch along with warranty card into an AD
