The Datejust’s the quintessestial Rolex in my eyes.......but I prefer the plain Oyster models from the current line up. If it’s the pre-2006 range with slimmer lugs the Datejust wins every time, the modern versions are a better watch in most respects but I prefer the contrasting grained/polished cases and slimmer lugs.

+2 ................ I have always preferred the datejust, also. Sports watches Seiko (for water) then CASIO digital for real ruff stuff because of the low cost and disposability.

Can you buy the new watches on a jubilee bracelet - don’t see that option on the Rolex website ?

    cheers

Click on the size of watch and then press configure and click on bracelet type. Amazingly only a £50 difference between an Oyster and a Jubilee.
