    Magnum P.I. Redux!

Another series brought back to life. And Higgins is a bird!

Just wrong. Look at the pathetic bum-fluff facial hair for starters.

    Oh dear.

The only thing I liked about that trailer was when the original music kicked in.

Perhaps I’m not the target audience anymore though. I don’t like Fast and Furious.
So clever my foot fell off.

It's probably an ok series but the problem is any reboot will fall short as they just don't have the same impact the original did, probably because we expect more now and nothing really can live up to the original.

The main issue IMO is that producers just cannot find the right lead actors for these reboots. There isn't anyone like Tom Selleck around so what do they do? Find a 6ft 6" actor and get him to grow a John Holmes 'tash?

Btw - I actually liked the last few Fast & Furious films so I haven't a problem with the director...his task was pretty steep for those of us who grew up with the original series.

Looks interesting, to be fair, apart from Tom Selleck owning the character, the original Magnum PI wasn't that great, like a lot of the 80s TV (A Team, B'star Galactica, etc), we just thought they were good as we were younger, and had a very limited amount of shows to enjoy!

For what it is, it looks like a decent enough budget, with a decent cast, and written by the same folks who do a lot of these types of series, so i'd say it's a definite switch off and enjoy show that'll be a decent enough watch for a couple of series, before it loses its way, or runs out of ideas.
