Why is Mrs Beckham looking so miserable, she is not a good advert for a long {by today standards} marriage

I’d rather watch paint dry and that goes for pm too. A good day for going out but overruled by the management.

Diana's & Fergie's wedding days I spent most of it out, riding my bike but today I have an American wife who is fascinated, so it's needs must and all that now

Well just caught 20 nanoseconds before heading out to catch more wasps and the lovely James Corden is there, he seems to be determined to buck the trend of most celebrities by staying a fat twat.

Sitting just watching the grass grow and the sheep in the field eating it i have zero interest in this circus the performers or their guests ( the idea of watching either the Beckhams or the Clooneys is quite repulsive) but i wish the happy couple well.

I suppose I am a bit of a Royalist and we do have the coverage on the TV in the background, however, quite why the BBC and Sky News feel it's necessary to send out app notifications every 5 minutes is beyond me.

Another one has just come through whilst typing this!

The reason she is so constantly unsmiling is because she is a miserable cow!

The whole spectacle turns my stomach on every possible level, to be honest. The celebration of a demeaning and idiotic institution. The sheer pomposity. The vulgar, ostentatious display of wealth and privilege. The religious clowns exploiting it to promote their backward superstition. Just utterly, utterly vile.

I take it that you are not recording it then?

I was rather enjoying it until the American god-botherer opened his mouth...

...though the obvious mix of embarrassment and amusement on the royals faces is a joy to behold!

    And now "Stand by me"...

...karaoke at the "do" afterwards maybe?

I have just come out of the pub, where there were a load of slackers, who haven't done a days' work in their life, and have lived their whole existence on state handouts. There are certainly parallels to the groom's family, unless you consider of waving and gurning at the plebs a days' work.

As far as African themed weddings go, it’s rather splendid.

    Good luck to them.

Ah, but the slackers in your pub don't have millions of pounds of investments and business interests throughout the world.

Loving the"theme" being rammed down my throat!

Oh good.. back on track with some proper, miserable, British religion.

The day is almost saved! The commentary regarding the American preachers monologue is very amusing!

I watched a bit of it after hearing Meghan was entering the church on the radio after taking a break from mowing the lawns.

The clown preacher went on a bit; sounded like he was running for president and had a fire obsession.

Nice day for a wedding though.

    What were you expecting ?
Apparently 2/3 people couldn't give a rats arse about the wedding so that means roughly 20 million that do. Just so happens that not many of that 20 million are on here it seems

A royal wedding and not a masterclass in virtue signalling.

It’s making a lot of people very happy today which is good

So If it’s making anyone sad then you just have to turn it off rather than dripping like a tap and go and do something you like.

I’m surprised that she had time for a spot of gardening what with everything else going on.

I had to be alone in London this weekend. Not wanting to stay at home but definitely wanting to avoid crowds of flag waving sheep I thought Greenwich market would be a good bet. Which it would have been but for whoever had the bright idea of broadcasting the event to the entire market on speakers.

    Quite right.

Rather like the folk who insist on turning up on football etc threads just so they can can proclaim to everyone how much they dislike it.

My Mrs had it on and thoroughly enjoyed it.
    Cheers,
    Neil.

    Marriage? The monarchy? Or both?
    Regardless, I agree.

@seabiscuit, sorry to say you're incorrect, you're paying for the circus, as are we all.

I hope that £30 million of taxpayer hard earned helped to repair some potholes in and around Windsor.

They should be fine with the £100 million the government allocated to them earlier this year.

Sat through the whole thing waiting for Lord Flashheart to appear, the closest I saw was Blackadder on trumpet.

I managed to avoid both the wedding and the FA Cup Final!

Other than the demonic wailing of tens of thousands of women claiming "Harry could have done a lot better than her", and the equally sad sobbing fans of the defeated football team, it has been a quiet day - tainted perhaps by the smell of burning meat on the hundreds of barbecues in the neighbourhood.

Trust me, no good will come of these ventures.
