It’s a blogging / microblogging site isn’t it?
Been on the go for years.....

Can anyone explain what the above is ? Someone with the same user name has "liked " some pictures on tumblr who has the same user name as me on here . It's causing friction with Mrs DCM who is convinced it's me that is "liking " these images , when it isn't . She is convinced this forum is somehow linked with tumblr ?
Anyone shed any light please ?

You don’t have to look hard on there to find some top class filth.
Presumably Mrs. DCM must use/be familiar with Tumblr to be aware of these liked images, no? Can you not just ask her or am I missing something?
I'm not sure she is familiar to be honest, the point is that if you google search dietcokeman tumblr it comes up with lots of forum related stuff , and a lot of my watch, car, motorbike pictures etc but it also comes up with some filth that someone call dietcokeman has liked , Mrs DCM thinks it's me liking the filth, but it's not, no it really isn't , but she is convinced it is , just want to be able to prove it really , but I'm a techno idiot so I don't really know what tumblr is .
Simply a site for posting pics (and a bit of blogging). Load it up and search for type of content you want and, generally, you will get access to thousands of pics.
I don't know what Tumblr is either, I've heard of it but as to it's purpose, unknown. Maybe Google automatically links certain keywords or even photos and names, not beyond the realms of possibility and that would account for the overlap perhaps?
Just show your wife that anyone can have that username; you don't have a monopoly for its use.
Can you perhaps just search her real name online and dig up some news stories with people of the same name to prove the point?
I am dietcokeman. My wife doesn't mind a bit of filth but is now worried I'm developing a watch obsession!
Or......
Tell your wife that yes it was you posting on Tumblr and that sort of stuff is what you like, this will then go one of two ways.
1. She’ll leave you, at least she won’t get on your case anymore and you’ll not have anyone stopping you buy whatever watch you want.
2. She’ll decide she loves you unconditionally and to keep you she’ll do what ever you like, result!
Of course before doing this I recommend you think about how much you love your wife and how happy you are.
Good luck.
Had a similar situation last week. I was flicking between fishing and porn channels on the telly when the wife shouted out "For f***s sake, leave the porn on - you know how to catch fish”.
“dietcokeman” is a commonly used tag for pictures of hunky dudes anyway after the ads so it will pop up on things like tumblr anyway. There is a twitter user called @dietcokeman too so unless that is you use this as proof that other people can use the name. It’s down to who used it first on a system.
The point of Tumblr is that it is all about the images - no credit is usually given to where it's been sourced from or who took or created the image. So someone's likely taking his photos and posting this op's photos.
What are the chances of someone with the same username reblogging this op's photos? No idea, but pretty slim I'd imagine. So possibly back to square one!
I still think he should search for his wife's name and harvest a bunch of stuff, just to show names mean nout online.

It's a microblogging site which isn't particularly well regulated and is very popular with fringe groups, subcultures, artists and kink. Finding some of your photos stolen from other sources and put on there or someone with a similar username on there who's liking strange things is completely normal and uncommentworthy.
