All the best to Sir Alex.
Hope for a speedy recovery.
Unconfirmed reports of a brain haemorrhage. He's in Salford Royal Hospital in a specialist unit and has had successful surgery.
Football rivalries aside, the greatest British manager ever.
Here's hoping he pulls through. A bit more Fergie time is required.
All the best to Sir Alex.
Hope for a speedy recovery.
Cheers,
Neil.
I’m not a united fan but wish him a speedy recovery.
A great manager. All the best for a speedy recovery.
All the best to Sir Alex too. A great man, a great manager.
Speedy reconery Sir Alex. A unique manager whose success in British football will highly unlikely be surpassed.
It'll take more than a haemorrhage to knock him off his perch, the stubborn bastard.
As a Liverpool supporter, Ferguson's Manchester United were a total PITA, but the hatred was only ever jealousy and admiration for the way he created one of the best teams of the Premier League era.
I wish him well and a speedy recovery.
I grew up supporting United and for the best part, Fergies team. Best wishes Sir Alex
As a United fan since May 1963 I am convinced that without Sir Alex Ferguson's time at the club we would be nothing more than a mid table Premier League team. Managers came and went after Busby and the club was going nowhere until the Board has the guts to take a chance on a Scotsman with no big-time experience. And now the club is one of the global giants of the game, even though the neighbours are doing worryingly well at the moment. This is entirely due to sir Alex's vision and refusal to accept second best. For that I thank him and I am pleased to see the amount of respect that fans of other clubs have shown. He's a tough old bird, so has a great chance of making it through. I hope he gets well soon.#

As a third Liverpool fan in this thread I also wish Sir Alex a speedy and complete recovery. He did transform a good Utd team when he came into a brilliant squad of players whose marauding relentless attacking must have been a joy for Utd fans to watch. He actually did have some big time experience - his Aberdeen team won the Cup Winners Cup beating Real Madrid in the final, so I think the Board must have had an inkling as to what he could achieve. Signing Cantona was a masterstroke as well - still one of the most gifted players to ever play in the Premier League IMO. A lot of opposing teams' fans must have roasted him for his post match interviews but I'm sure that most of them have a big respect for him and will be wishing he pulls through ok.
It pleased me to see one of the first official statements released to wish Sir Alex well, was from Liverpool FC who acknowledged his offer to help in any way he could in their hour of need (after Hillsborough, he was the first man to call Kenny Dalglish to say anything Man Utd could do, they would do)
A touch of class that, from Liverpool.
Surgery went well let's hope for a speedy recovery

Apparently, Wayne Rooney has been to see Sir Alex this morning,
"He's improving and nearly able to string a sentence together," said Fergie...
Best Regards - Peter
I'd hate to be with you when you're on your own.
It good to see Sir Alex Ferguson is doing well and out of hospital. There’s an interview on the bbc sports website.
Not a man u lover but delighted he's made what seems like a remarkable recovery and great he took the time and energy to record his video message
And very best of luck to him and kudos to the people who looked after him, unsung heroes
