36-38mm, 100-200m non dive watch with screw down crown

    Evening,

So after purchasing my Seiko skx013 for holiday I haven’t completely bonded with it (maybe not a dive watch guy) I’m now looking for alternatives that will be good for a day at the pool and a few cocktails at night.

So does anyone know of a watch 36-38mm with 100-200m water resistance and a screw down crown? Looking to budget around 500 pounds.

The Seiko will be staying for now.

    Thanks

A second-hand Sinn 556 or 556A would fit the bill, and be in your budget - just.

Smaller Quartz Omega Aquaterra... maybe a nudge over budget, but, it’s a great Watch with a great bracelet

I do like the anniversary addition so may have to keep an eye out.

    Thanks

I’ve had a look at them but they seem out of budget, good suggestion. I had the larger automatic a few years ago.

    Thanks

Was thinking Sinn 556 until I saw your budget.
How about a Seiko Alpinist? If you can live with the dial and find one.

Precista PRS-10 if you can get one - and closer to GBP 100 than GBP500.

If you're not going diving why the need for 'screw crown', or indeed 100-200 WR?
There are vast numbers of watches within your bracket that would be fine for swimming and lazing by the pool,
100-200 metres equates to 300-600ft WR.

I’ve had a look at the Alpinist but wasn’t keen on the green, if it was blue I may have been tempted.

    Thanks

I’ve done some scuba diving before and I expect to again at some point so want to make sure I’m covered and don’t want to worry about taking it off etc.

    Thanks

You could also look at the Vostok Amphibias. The 710 range is 200m water resistant, 41mm across but only 45mm lug to lug so looks OK on slimmer wrists (or the 150 range - 46mm lug to lug), and if you don't like diver bezels you could buy a plain bezel for it - the whole package would come in at under 70 quid delivered. Have a look at meranom.com - a trustworthy seller.

    How about a Certina?

Okay, I appreciate that the Alpinist is very much a marmite watch.
As an alternative, how about a Certina DS Action? Jura Watches has them for around £350 and IMHO itcertainly ticks the boxes regarding versatility. The negatives may be size, at 41mm and the movement, which is a HAQ Precidrive. Apolopies for not posting a link, but technology is not my strong point.

36-38mm, 100-200m non dive watch with screw down crown

The CWC g10 sapphire crystal with screw down crown should suffice plus change for a whizzer and chips
