    Rolex DJ question.

    Gentlemen,
I have a very clean DJ from 1966 that recently started losing five minutes per hour and has a wobbly crown. I bought it some years ago from this fine forum and it is highly unlikely I will ever sell it. Not aware of any service history and my question is: Do I need to need to send it to Rolex and if I do, are they likely to tell me to FO because of it’s age?

Why would you send it to Rolex? Send it to a Rolex accredited independent and discuss the watch with him. Bill Rice or Duncan Potter would be good choices. These guys tend to be far more flexible than Rolex SC, within reason they'll do what you ask.

Thanks Paul, Duncan would be my favourite due to his rep and I was not aware of Bill Rice.
