    I fancied a change

    So thought I’d try a different strap. Ordered a rubber B from the U.S. and it arrived 3 days later . . . .

It works beautifully - I daresay it looks better than on the bracelet.

    Looks superb, good choice.

How twitchy was the old ringpiece when you took the tools to the springbars and bracelet screws?

    I think that looks great!

I admired the (white gold) Daytonas on rubber when the local AD had his Basel 2017 soirée(!).

My only concern would be getting a good fit; obviously no links to tweak the length.

I wouldn’t have taken the risk, got someone else to do it :-)

Very nice, though I do love the bracelet!

Damn Daytona, hopefully this year I can join the club

Awful. kudos for trying but IMO it doesn’t work. Get it back on the bracelet it’s meant to be on

    The Daytona deserves better.

Looks great if you like the Argos special Sekonda style look.

    I fancied a change

It’s nice, but not as clean as on the bracelet or as stunning as the WG.

That looks seriously good. Big fan of the Daytona's on Oysterflex, which I know this isn't but still looks good!

    Looks good

For me it works perfectly and gives it an everyday look/feel I would presume then the bracelet can be for special occasions!!

Good choice and nice to see people being true to themselves and not caring what the masses think or want!!

I don’t think it cheapens it. Makes it much more understated in my opinion. For some folk that may not necessarily be a good thing though I suppose.

I wonder what it would look like on a white Rubber B??

You mustn't be a Daytona fan in general - surely it would be weird for such an iconic (and, after all, expensive) watch to depend solely on the bracelet to make its impression ...

Looks fantastic like this IMO. Better than on the bracelet. Gives it a nice half sporty half dressy edge

I like it as an option. Rubber works well on the Yachtmaster and a refreshing alternative here.

I think rubber pairs well with 116500 but wouldn't wear rubber with shirt.

Not to mention the Daytona... and in white metal, no less:

That's what I wanted. All my watches are on bracelet so I fancied something more casual and sporty for the summer and I think that having a white dial suited the rubber best.

I'll see how it goes but probably put the bracelet back on later in the year.

I think it looks good, but to me the oysterflex method using fixed end links would look better.

I’m not a fan of the Daytona due to its size, but to me that looks better than a bracelet, suits it perfectly.

This actually reminds me of the PP Aquanaut which I think also bridges that gap nicely

Looks really good IMO. I think it draws attention to the actual watch head more as well. The Rubber B are top quality and very comfortable. I had one put on my Cameron and its way better than the bracelet.

I really like all the pics except the wrist shot for some reason, maybe just the light when shot, but the main thing is that you like it and enjoy wearing it

  34. #34
I’m not a fan of that combo. Cheapens the watch for me and reminds me of a 90’s Tag F1 (sorry).

+1 as some used to say in here.. I'm not a big Rolex fan at all but i think that looks ace. I like a bit of rubber though, got two of my watches on rubber bands..
    Well done :)

Did you take that deployant clasp from your Daytona bracelet ?

Not an offensive look but I recon if I had the choice to swap between the two, it’d spend 80% of the time on a bracelet. Nice for a change though.

Big thumbs up. Much more casual and sporty. Great to move between the two every so often.
