I refused £20K before Xmas, one sold a couple of months ago by one of our best vintage sellers for £17.5k and wasn’t as good as this one.

Thanks, things have clearly moved on quite a bit since I last was up to speed with the market. All very nice watches, your 1675 would be my favourite.

I sold my gilt PCG 1675 about 5 years ago for £7650.

Yep,but 5 years ago you could go out have 10 pints a bag of fish and chips and still have change from a 10 shilling note.

For some reason that didn't make me feel any better about it.

Beautiful watches and thank you for sharing.
There’s been a bit of “similar watch” bashing on the forum so I keep quiet lol.

Stunner Lee, my trouble is my 16660 seadweller is welded to my wrist I like it so much, it only comes off when I dress up lke a tart and put a Daytona on, which doesnt happen very often.

Tony, you just have to let it go, let it go or it will eat you up, take comfort in that it still misses you.

Yes, one should not feel 'gilty'.

Nice pun but it wasn’t a Gilt it was a 16660 seadweller with the most incredible dial you have ever seen, Tony has regretted selling it and of course I wouldn’t dream of rubbing it in.

Probably the most modest thread title ever, definitely not just ‘another Rolex collection’ !!

Is that TT Daytona the one from SC recently ?

Nothing I can say that hasn't already been said, but what a glorious collection of vintage Rolex watches. Not at all envious!

    All superb examples
What was the chronology here in regards to what came first and what sort of timescale did you build the collection over?
Was there a few shown the exit door getting to where you are now?

Good question, I started about 5 years ago but went down the modern path with a sub and gmt (both ceramic) They didn’t particularly excite me but I hung onto them, I then bought a 16660 seadweller and this made me realise that vintage was where my interest lay although I did buy a 16600 seadweller with the intention of it being my daily wearer but this didn’t happen as I tended to wear the original vintage 16660.
Eventually the sub and gmt were part traded for vintage models and the 16600 seadweller was given to my son. So it’s all happened over roughly 5 years and the only watches I have moved on are 3 relatively modern ones.

Fabulous Bob. Glad to see my old Big Red 6263 is still the jewel in the crown. Remember you agreed to sell it back to me at the same price that I sold it to you...if you ever move it on :-)

Hi John, Yep she’s still here in fact it’s risen in value so much I have to employ a security guard to follow me round, I blame you so expect a big bill for his services, lol. Good to hear from you mate, hope your keeping well.

A lovely collection. Personally I just don’t ‘get it’ which is just as well. Similarly many wouldn’t ‘get’ why I’d spend 1K on a mains cable for my Hi-Fi! Must buy a sub. though......

I like your passion for 5513. I've got Meters First, so I'm still missing some pieces ;-)

Thanks for sharing. You have some really special vintage pieces there. Out of interest, is there anything from the current line up that you like the look of?

Fantastic collection - Like many who have replied, I really love the GMT. The patina on it is so beautiful. Enjoy your watches and the pleasure owning them brings.
