Outlook - very aggressive in what it calls spam.

I swopped to outlook for my own personal email when orange closed all their peripheral servers.
I find that half my incoming emails get shifted into the junk box only accessible on line. I get a list of ebay saved search notifications and half of those are deemed spam. Even mail from me to an email based forum is then junked when it comes back out to me.
I always go in and mark them all as not junk but it doesn't seem to be learning?
Any thoughts as to how to allievate this?
    Thanks

I’m training mine to junk anything from an office email address.

    It might be Orange related?.

My Mrs steadfastly refuses to ditch her ‘ntlworld’ E-mail addy, despite Virgin not supporting it and ongoing issues with spam etc.

Personally I only use a stable cloud address.

Just whitelist whoever you want to receive emails from, job done.

I work with some people who by default, blacklist everyone and then let in senders on the case by case basis..

Thanks all, it just seems odd that virtually the same emails are treated differently. I'll try adding the addresses to the address book and see if that helps.
