Sizes vary through the range. The country ones run large, stowe etc.
Did they have any Grasmere boots in the last sale? Looking for a pair in size 8.
It’s normally last seasons stock if I remember rightly £100 shoes ans about £120 boots last time
I’ve always tried to go 1/2 a size smaller if I can. They are fairly true to size. I take a nine normally.

Trickers make shoes.
Will try and go early Thursday. I’ve been once before and beware, parking out the front on the main road is not allowed and the rear car park is tiny.
Yes Trickers wear large so I’d go down 1/2 a size at least.
It depends on the last though, does it not. Trickers say to size down on the country shoes (4444) but not the boots it town shoes.
Hope someone gets some bargains, sadly I can’t make it.
If anyone who is going to the sale would be willing to pick up a pair of shoes on my behalf would they drop me a PM?

This is my experience. I'm 8.5 in Bourton shoes but 9 (which is my usual size) in Stow boots.
I look forward to lots of bargain size 11 boots on SC! (Wishful thinking as everyone is a size 8 here....)
Well I rang them this morning and you have to go to the shop...no postal service. I wish they were a bit closer to Manchester!

There's a big car park five minutes walk away beside the courts called upper mounts/Campbell square and a smaller multistory right beside called St michaels. I think maybe they have their own little carpark too but not sure how you get into it and would expect it'll be full on saturday!

Last winter it was 100 for shoes, 120 for boots.

I popped in at lunchtime looking for some boots in size 9. Not much of a selection to be honest.
Was just about to head up there, not worth the 100 mile round trip then.

I was only in there briefly and I was only looking at size 9 and specifically boots.
They had one pair of stow which were dark brown with commando soles. If they weren't commando soles I would of bought them but I have to many commando sole boots ...
Other than that they had a few pairs of Chelsea boots and a pair of chukka boots.
I spoke with a guy told him I was looking for size 9 boots either brogues or cap toe with dainite soles he had a look out the back and said they had none.
My experience this morning was a little different - plenty of stuff in 8.5 and I ended up leaving with a limited (to 12 pairs only) edition pair of blue suede monkey boots with a vibram sole and a pair of bourton brogues in beechnut with a commando sole.

Thanks for the heads up! It's weird, but the soles on my new Bourton's, although they state "Commando" on them, look like Dainite....
