    It's a money pit.

It may not start out as one, but that's what it'll end up as.

So talking about your spending on, and enjoyment of, high value items equals small willy syndrome?

The irony of making that comment on a watch forum is delightful.

Talking of midgets, we recently had one in Shetland who was also a fortune teller. In one of his sessions he went into a rage and started swinging a machete around in the high street. Police warned there was a small medium at large.

    But back to Skyman's hole...

If you look closely at the picture you can see blood stains. I get the feeling that a hole is not being dug, one is being filled in.

Obviously a swimming pool, but a major construction error is being made.

Can you tell what it is yet?

Ah you've misunderstood the any hole is a goal maxim.
I don't think you'll feel anything worthwhile with that one I'm afraid.

Of course, it's the beginning of a proper vegetable garden. You must remove all that clay and replace it with black topsoil to ensure optimal production. Could be a foot deeper IMO.

That would be my guess and I'd say a pretty wise move given the way the world is going

Duh, obvious isn’t it, the ladder to get into the pool has been installed before the tiles.

Reminds me when I was in India many years ago I went to a farm where they had a water reservoir which during the day I’d use to cool off. One day I decided to see how deep it was and got sucked into the mud, mild panic set in and it took a lot of effort to free myself.

In that case I wouldn't bother digging any further. The occupants will do it for you, many of whom don't know when to stop.

I am told two months from now we should be operational. Concrete early this coming week. French time though. So add a month!

    A Cockpit?
