Yet this country welcomes Eastern European convicted criminal scrotes with open arms! Sometimes this country is a disgrace.

Need to make room for the more useful immigrants don’t we!

Was driving down the motorway the other day and the police were on the hard shoulder escorting one out of the bushes wrapping him in one of those silver blankets. Probably dropped off the underside of a lorry at the services. 15 of them popped out the back of a lorry there the other day.

I heard him on the radio this afternoon, he said that he applied on time but they gave him the appointment after the date, when he went for the interview he was told his application would be refused because he was late.

Why would Eastern Europeans be smuggling themselves into the UK? They're allowed to move freely between EU states.

But there have been so many recent cases of the Home Office's heavy hand at work you wonder what it is they hope to achieve? Certainly not public support.

    This was my favourite:

52 years in the UK since he was 8 but they threaten him with deportation.

Wouldn't the money be more usefully targeted at people attempting to enter the country now, rather than 52 years ago?

I wasn’t referring to Eastern Europeans in the paragraph about the M20, that was obviously about the illegals.

Working 70 hours + per week serving the British public this lazy so and so didn’t give HO enough time for them to give him an appointment before the deadline? Off with his head!
He’ll be given a fortune in a few years by HMG when they beg him to return as the NHS struggles to get doctors, let alone UK trained doctors.

He first attempted to book an appointment to secure his status in July but was told that the closest available date was Sept 2.

He was also told that the appointment for the indefinite leave application had to be made within 28 days of his 10-year anniversary of being in Britain.

So the earliest he could have applied was on Aug 16 - the day after his visa expired.

Unfortunately that has never been a pre-requisite for posting

Methinks he should petition Jeremy Hunt on this issue - that's his ultimate boss.

.......and after all it was Jeremy who oversighted several things recently (rules is rules ) - so I am sure that he would sympathise, no perhaps, empathise :-)
