    Speedy Tuesday

Just been offered a Speedy Tuesday as I put myself on the list when it was announced.

I don’t see myself keeping it long term but wondering if I should buy it anyway?

Just buy and keep it short term then ?

You’ll get to try it at no cost, probably.

Why did you put yourself on the list?

Or I can go and pick it up for you and pay for it.... Kills two birds with one stone - you'll never have to wear or splash out any money for it....

Well you’re right, I shouldn’t really have put myself on the list...
I’ll call them to take myself off.

And no need for the sarcastic gifs

Seriously though, someone here would probably take it off you for a small premium.

Let Rich have it rather than give it up. I am sure you could arrange a meet at the store.

If by some crazy instance Rich doesn’t want it I would happily take it.

Please don’t just give it back.

Another member was in a similar position, I offered him a very nice drink and collected the watch, still worked out a little cheaper than current values.
It’s a lovely watch and one I’ll keep.

and that's exactly how I would like to have mine: with the Snoopy strap - think it absolutely goes with the watch....Was even thinking of getting a Snoopy strap anyway to go on my existing Speedmaster 1863

believe so. You need the deployant too. Think the strap is about £180 and the deployant about the same.

Hopefully people who really want the watch otherwise OP might as well make a bit on it himself.

Exactly!. Too many speculators. I paid well over list for mine, but it's a long term keeper. I'd love another, so I could keep one unworn and wear the other ;)

Great for someone to get it at list price. I got lucky a couple of months ago despite not ordering online.

    Probably a very good move.

I bought an omega alligator and deployant for mine, and then a complete standard Moon Watch so I could use the bracelet on the Speedy Tuesday - so,it ended up being a lot more expensive than planned

    Speedy Tuesday

Bought a black sailcloth strap from Monkey Swag and stuck an Omega Buckle on it. Should really be brushed on the clasp but will sort later.
£60 for strap and clasp so a good alternative to the OEM sailcloth and deployant.

I did. In the wonderful weather of yesterday Hasan and I met up at Omega and did the deal. A huge thanks to Hasan - a delightful individual and a pleasure to spend time with. I also bought a Silver Snoopy strap, but not the deployant, as I thought the one that I already have for my other speedy would fit.....Turns out that the deployant I have is for a 16mm alligator (duh!)....So the Speedy T. is resting before being wrist bound.

Update: the deployant part number - 94521883 (polished - and newest for Silver Snoopy strap) or 94521833 (Satin). Anyone know where to source at a "keen" price or can suggest a suitable alternative??

Again, thanks Hasan!! It's a beautiful watch and will definitely not be a safe queen. Look forward to hearing about your meeting on the 10th May! ;)

Hmmm I’m not particularly keen on the supplied leather strap either and the NATO makes it pop out too much. Looks like I should explore that Snoopy strap you speak of.

Well done on the deal both!

    That does look good!

Are Snoopy straps easy to get hold of - read on another forum that some Boutiques would only sell to Snoopy owners. May not have been in UK though.

I had no problems at all in Bond Street OD. Not sure if it was because we were in the shop getting the ST. I note that the price on eBay/watchobsession for an “original” s.snoopy strap is actually 30-40% higher than shop price. :(

Thom, that’s excellent, thank you. Wasn’t sure how good it might be so appreciate the thumbs up and personal recommendations from you.
