I was in my GP's surgery the other day (having a blood test - ouch!), and noticed a much better version of this idea in the wall-clock. Its seconds hand would go normally for about 15 seconds, stutter and then reverse for about 20 seconds - so I left before I arrived; now that is even better than being Timeless!
