    Blue dial Railmaster

Here are some posts from the Baselworld pictures thread

Aside from pictures posted on Instagram by three ADs, I can't find anything else about this watch.

Timeless are saying price is $4,950 on bracelet and $4,850 on the pictured strap and are giving the reference 022012402003001. Googling that number produces literally nothing else. Trying to format it as a usual Omega ref (220.12.40.20.03.001) didn't help either, though that ref is very similar to the existing models (eg 220.10.40.20.01.001)

    Anyone know any more?

Whip that off that strap and you've got a rather nice-looking thing.

Not sure if it's the wearers thin wrist, or the NATO, but it looks quite big - wonder what size it is...

...great dial though IMO - l wish omega would get more stuff right nowadays, given much of the rest of their range...

That's a real stunner - the dial looks great. Hope it a 39/40mm and not 36

That dial looks like it's made of moon rock. If they put that into next year's 50th anniversary speedy and said it's made with actual moon rock I'd believe them. Maybe I'm a bit gullible though!

Can't get with the dial on these. Somehow Omega have managed to lose all the charm of the Railmaster and Seamaster this year.

I asked SJX on Instagram if he had any info on it, as there's seemingly nothing out there. His reply:

"It’s a new variant based on a suggestion from Cindy Crawford’s son. It’s part of the regular collection."

^^^ So that explains these shots you get when searching Railmaster. Apparently this is her son and the face of the RM now...

Still not on the website catalogue. Since I'm looking at the existing versions, here are the specs

40mm case, 20mm lugs, 150m WR, Domed scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides, cal. 8806 with 55 hour PR, solid caseback, 12.5mm thick

At last an image on the bracelet!

REF: Omega Railmaster 220.10.40.20.03.001 [but that seems to be the same as the black faced version]

I've just remembered that when this whole line was introduced last year, again Omega made as little fuss over it as possible - no promo pictures, not included in the Baselworld section of the website, no bumpf given to the press.

I think it looks excellent on the bracelet. A little blue goes a long way on a daily wearer, and this looks just right.

Has anyone christened the dial yet?
    I'd go with "Denim".

If you got to 7.10 on this video, you get to see the Omega Railmasters on display... no sign of treble dial, but the denim strap is shown on the silver version. Maybe this is why it hasn't been widely reported – No real examples on show unless you get to go in the booth?

Would be perfect for me in 38mm without the numbers and the cross hairs.

On a WUS thread I saw the news that these are expected to be available from July.

Greys like Iconic are selling the black dial on bracelet for just over £3k

^ Well that would be a good turn around... when these were announced at last years Basel, it took about 10 months to hit the ADs. Still waiting for the Royal Exchange Omega manager to ring me when they get released – thanks for the service mate!

Worn and wound have done a fairly big review on it:

The wearer (Dan from Timeless Luxury in the USA) does have a small wrist. It's around 6.5 inches if I remember correctly. Every Basel watch he photographed looked too big with the exception of the BB58.

Completely agree, inner bezel also looks a bit too thick to me.

Cannot get passed the short croshairs and the accumulation of numbers, text, crosshairs... I love Omega, but, come on... A couple of years of silly mistakes and truly hideous models.

I absolutely love this, but it's too big and too thick (yeah I went there).

Wish it was 38mm and under 11mm thick.

Look good on a fine mesh , still prefer the vintage speedomaster.

  38. #38
I saw this on display yesterday and it looked much smaller than the Moonwatch displayed nearby. It did not look as nice as compared to online photos but it was covered in plastic.

This was priced at £3600 and looks 'good value' compared to the other Omega models. I did not like it enough to start the man-maths but if it was in a sale I think I would be tempted.

First time I've found a photo of the new blue dial on a bracelet. Not a great photo, but so far the only alternative to the stock

Looks good despite the best efforts of the lighting and the photograph
