A thread for anything you don't think worth one of its own.

Eg New date feature from Nomos:

Not sure that this is much different to the previous model - the triangles at the hours, the 'automatic' no longer jammed up by the 'Oris', perhaps a more complex shaping of the lugs?

Looks like there is now a gilt dial Ocean King too, with lumed bezel and crown guards.

Apparently that Tudor is based on the real 1926. Personally I see no resemblance whatsoever - facepalmthe original is gorgeous too ☹️

^^^that PP looks terrible. Funnily enough we've been so used to weird layout dials on the Nautilus, something straight forward as above looks so wrong.

edit - Endo beat me to it!

    edit 2 - nearly £92,000 for THAT!!!!

That took me a moment too but I assume it's highlighting the 4th with the red marker on either side. If it only had one red marker you wouldn't know if it was the number to the right or left.

A nice change from the usual date window, Nomos cool as usual IMO...

Still a clumsy implementation - Ochs und Junior do this so much better:

Nonsense - each marking is a segment representing 5 days. I find this visually very intuitive. If you look at the Nomos, the 15th of the month is not even at 6 which makes it very jarring. I expect the middle of the month to be in the middle and prefer how the O und J handles the 31st over the Nomos.

I agree with Rusty; it’s not initially very easy to tell the date at a glance.

I’m sure it would soon become second nature though and, like you, I prefer the way that hedge have dealt with the 31st day.

Beautiful, finally a PP I like (5726 came close, but the date windows are poorly executed IMO).

So glad they have ditched the terrible asymmetric sub-dial design.

A shame it’s a price point well out of reach.

That's very nice indeed. I like the nod to Autavias of the past with the three blocks of colour on the nine-o-clock sub dial.

He's here - though they have it down as a Daytona by mistake!

Edit - they've taken the word Daytona off and placed it with GMT!

Tudor finally saw my mock ups from two years ago for the BB with a blue dial. 32mm is going to horrify most!

The blue still has black on the crown tube... well thats an instant fail!

But will it still be as slab sided as the rest??! Steel crown tube is a MASSIVE improvement on this one.

I've never been convinced on rivet bracelet... will love to see this one in the metal.

40mm, 70hrs movement and "the lugs and sides of its Oyster case have been redesigned"... finally.

And the new Black Bay GMT has a 70 hour power reserve and is a true GMT with hour hacking and 200m WR.

That, gentlemen, is a slam dunk, and pretty much makes my day. No, month.
