    Bitcoin Trader

Has anyone heard of this? Is it a new scam? Apparently you sign up, pay £250 and watch your profits grow by the hour. Sounds too good to be true.

Is it the same as where you have to recruit 5 new investors and then get a cut of their coinage?
    Fantastic.

Think you already know the answer to that one.

As a general rule of thumb, if people seem more interested in recruiting others to 'share the opportunity' rather than filling their boots, its a scam.

    Pretty sound advice!

I've been getting into crypto recently, not invested at all but I've been researching and keeping up with new developments in an somewhat obsessive manner. The whole thing has attracted a major wild west aspect to it with many hugely marketed "schemes" and "businesses" (particularly exchanges) turning out to essentially be complete scams.

It's difficult to know who to trust out of the big names. The chances of a small investment unknown provider being anything other than a complete scam are essentially nil.

Totally agree with this , if it’s so good , they won’t be looking for complete strangers to come in too

Stay away from crap like that. You will get burned. You only need to look at something like Bitconnect which was nothing more than a huge scam.

If you want to dabble with crypto, just buy some from a trusted exchange and see what happens. With prices being so volatile, not a single one of these intermediaries can guarantee the kind of returns they're promising.

The Emperor's New Clothes are stunning this season. Pyramid schemes have never been so much fun or dangerous.

A few scams like this operate in the same way – you invest your money and see your profits go up and up, you tell your friends and they tell theirs.

Now it’s time to withdraw all that Bitcoin or cash and you enter your wallet address… guess what? Nothing ever appears and you get told it was sent or that the transaction mysteriously failed etc etc.

You never see your investment again.

Are you asking about an exchange? If so, there are many. First of all, you'd need crypto to fiat gateway. If you are in the UK, polyx and Gemini are considered to be good exchanges to buy BTC with USD. Buy bitcoin with a debit card on Polyx
