    All new watches by Breitling

Some of them are... not bad (I rather like the worldtimer, a tad too large though)

They just put for too much on the dial for my liking. They’re too busy.

Well what can I say? The new ones just look like the old ones with the exception of the exo yacht timer.
Come on Breitling you can do better.

The "manufacture B01 movement but in a 43mm case" Navitimers are beautiful - Navitimer perfection.

    https://www.breitling.com/rs-en/watc...AB0121211B1A1/

I always liked the 46mm B01 but would have preferred 43mm, so these are just right. The lack of bezel means they wear slightly smaller than their size.

The 41mm non-B01 option remains for those who like smaller watches.

The black dial with silver-sub dials is just wonderful.

I couldn’t agree more! Not really done much to improve the brand other than make the watches slightly less shiny.

38mm nav are nice enough. Sucker for anything blue though.

Only the Navitimer, and maybe the 3 hander Super Ocean Heritage look any good to me.

I like the Unitime movement, but probably needs a better use, and an opportunity missed to update a nice Super Ocean and Sea Wolf etc.
It's just a matter of time...

Breitling are in massive trouble IMHO and this collection and prices do them no favours at all.

Except they’ve taken away the slightly useful count-down bezel replacing it with the useless 360deg units bezel. I’m so glad I bought the current B55

I think we'll start to see Kern's influence coming through in new models one at a time.....was in the boutique in the Trafford Centre a few weeks back and the chap in there had advanced shots of a new model due out later this year which looked really nice - a bit less 'Breitling' if you know what I mean.

It may be fit for purpose, but this one, for me, is way off the radar!

Surprised by the reaction to a lot of these, I actually like most of the new releases. Yes the prices are mental, but generally they all look good to me. Shame the Navi 38mm doesn't come on a bracelet because the blue and cream dial is awesome. I like the Navi 8 day date too.

Interesting statement - Is it based on anything other than personal dislike?

This suggests that they're pretty solid financially at the moment

I’m a Breitling fan, most of the ‘updated’ versions I like. The new Navitimer models I’m not sure of.

If you wanted something in that style, B&R Ww2 Regulateur is much more attractive

I love the feel of Breitling watches and the way they wear so well, but pretty much everything they make these days is just enormous.

  37. #37
Red gold Navitimer B01 stands out to me as one of the few I fancy of those, alas too big for my small wrists at 43mm. Also not quite sure whether it'd still be to my taste when it's on my wrist rather than the screen.

As an avowed Breitling enthusiast and currently the owner of a Seawolf, an Avenger Skyland and a 46mm Navitimer World, I'm relaxed about the minor tinkering with most of their previously existing models.

The real shocker for me is the Navitimer 8 range - I genuinely think every one of them looks awful...

It's a very odd direction they're taking the brand. I personally don't like the dilution of the Navitimer name - it should be a chronograph with a slide rule, anything else just doesn't make sense. Whilst I get the inspiration for the "8" collection, they do it a disservice by lumping it in with Navitimer - let it stand on its own two feet.

The new owners of Breitling are having to deal with a bloated, confused and out-of-touch range, and I don't think these new selections are doing much to help that. I will say the Superocean Heritages have some nice commercial pieces, especially the new Tudor powered time-and-date pieces (although they will face stiff competition from Tudor themselves!), and the Chronomat will benefit from not being quite so vulgar.

Still, their price point continues to be a touch on the high side, I think they have a tough couple of years ahead

I think this is a nice looking watch

Not sure I get why there is only one, almost invisible mark on the bezel, which should have indices all the way round. Despite this, the watch looks nice.
I don't think it looks like a Navitimer though, that's just a silly piece of brand engineering, imho.

My first proper watch was a Breitling Colt Automatic, lovely thing. Back then Breitling were making ‘instruments for professionals’, I think they said. Their line looked very technical, functional and I liked them.

Since then and now, which is about twenty years, I think they’ve gone overboard on their bling and lost their way. One man’s opinion, of course. They still make the odd nice model, but they don’t feel like the technical equipment they did.

The new models seem like a step back in that direction but I can’t say I like too many of them.

I’m also not at all a fan of dropping the wings in favour of the B.

Purchased my first Breitling almost 30 years ago. Still my daily watch for work (brutal Mining environment.
1 service and still looks great. Chrono GT

A few years ago, purchased a Transocean date in black. Nice watch but the second hand fell off.\

Had a world Navi GMT. Nice but uselessly water non-resistant (rain did it in)

Breitling have lost their way for a long time. Too big, too bling, wrapped up in their own importance, high and mighty servicing etc....

Current range looks so...so Bremont...looks so lacking in finish. Can’t see this getting better.

When will Breitling and other manufacturers lean that they are losing so much business by not making watches 40mm and below.

Yes some people like bigger watches but I bet more like them 40mm and below, certainly the everyday watch buyer.

Breitling were at their modern best in the 1990’s and 2000’s.

In these years they had a really good and unified look, right across the range.

As someone said above, they were “instruments for professionals” and very much tool watches.

The general trend towards more accessible bling and showy watches over the last 10 years (perhaps driven by social media especially amongst the younger group chasing that Kardashian lifestyle) has really ruined the feel of the brand.

I am a die hard Breitling fan, but I must admit over the last 10 years I am cringing more and more with each release.

The Breitling of 2018 is not a brand I am a fan of. The Breitling of 2001 is a brand I will forever love.

The last great Breitling for me was the Navitimer 01.
