Ends today. Has anyone enquired or bought? I'm curious if there are genuine deals to be had.

I made a slightly cheeky offer but it wasn't accepted, they did however knock £450 off the original price.
No, I never bought it.
I made an offer this morning for a watch for the OH. Haven't heard back yet which is surprising as it was close to asking.
I made several cheeky offers, none accepted but they came back with 2.5% discount counter offers. Not a great promotion really.
I made a cheeky offer as well this morning on an Omega, the offer was acknowledged by email (I am already on their mailing list) but no reply to say yea or nay yet.

Not Watchfinder but I did once make an offer of £7,000 on a £7,150 watch at Iconic when they had a 'make offer' button. They refused and nearly four months later they still had it and had dropped the price to £6,750. I don’t know what it eventually sold for.
Made an offer for an 18k Sub but was way off
I offered them £5000 for a Rolex 1675 but apparently they bought it in for £5000 a week ago so now it's worth £6500 ;)
Oh well....
You can make a them an offer on chrono24 anyway

Was this advertised, or was it email? I don't see it on their website.
Just got a counter offer off them based on my "bid".
The watch was up for £2850, but in the last few hours they have dropped it to £2750 on their website and offered it to me for £2500 via email.
So not a bad offer but more than I wanted to spend on that particular watch.
EDIT: Just made them a counter counter offer :)

I got an email back saying there would be no discount on the watch I made an offer on!
Ha terrible promotion!
I can’t see any mention of this on their website???
Well I suppose their promotion worked on me. I just bought the Lady Datejust they had with no discount.
To be fair it was what I have been looking for the OH for a while and the price seemed fair anyway.
So I'm curious.... I understand that when you (trade dealer) sells a second hand car then they only charge VAT on the difference between what they paid and what they sell for. Is this the same for watches? Otherwise the dealer would have to immediately charge an overall extra 20% just to break even which doesn't sound right to me but, hey, this is HMRC so anything's possible.
The £5000 - £6500 thing & subsequent ‘naughty’ are nothing to do with WF
They are in reference to a thread on SC where that happened and poster above was taking the Mick out of the chap.
