I used to overtake them a lot, but apart from that, no, sorry, don't know much.
They are pretty respected as being no frills fun though, problem is now that are all quite old, decent bodywork will be key to a good one.
Has anyone has experience with the original fiat panda please?

Mates daughter has a 4x4 one that seems to be bulletproof
Or, 18 year old girl proof anyway...
A little on Panda's, but a fair chunk on Uno's.
What do you want to know?
I’m hoping it’s another tail of daring do by Tacticat, under cover in Asia I’ll warrant.
Yep, ran them for years. Hardly any left in reasonable nick any more, unfortunately.
Cheers,
Plug
Fantastic 4x4 system on them, anyone who knows the Pinz and Haflinger will know why.
Back in the day I had a non-4x4 but believe it shared the same engine; what Fiat called it's FIRE (Fully Integrated Robotised Engine!), it was only a 1000cc but in typical Italian fashion it was more feisty than a Jack Russell Terrier, Still slow as a car but for eagerness and willingness it was great. Never had a single problem with the car either.
I love my skiing and you still see these being used throughout every ski resort in Europe, they'll seemingly scamper up any road in the snow without chains on better than any posh 4x4 you could name.
Still unsure what it is the OP wants to know?
"Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. The third time it's enemy action."
'Populism, the last refuge of a Tory scoundrel'.
All I’d add is that if you want a handy little (very capable) 4x4 look at a Suzuki SJ/Jimny
They get used everywhere in Europe by farmers, police, utility companies, armies etc
Kind of looked down upon over here, god knows why
I adore the new Panda Cross - in the sage metallic green especially. It's my guilty pleasure.
I have a friend who owns a mint example of the Italia 90 special edition with the football hub caps. I believe somehow he even managed to source a complete spare set of brand new hub caps for it. He collects 80's 90's stuff - last time I checked he was hording 205 Rallyes and Saxo VTRs with a view to future values when that generation get their rose tinted specs on.
A friend of mine installed a 1600 lanica twin cam in one. Dropped the suspension, fitted Brembos, Recaros, Roll Cage, 15"Arbath alloys and Pirelli Corsas .
Like "sh*t of a shovel" . I loved it.
My wife had a 4x4 until it was written off by a van and I used to have a UNO 70S. Both were excellent and easy to fix
Whoever does not know how to hit the nail on the head should be asked not to hit it at all.

I have a friend who had one at uni in the 90's. I once drove it from Exeter to Edinburgh. That was a LONG journey...
It was the 'Dance' special edition, in red. Slow as hell, but it kept going. He once drove 7 of us home in it, from a clun. At one point he braked heavily to avoid a badger, and an unrestrained passenger (who was messing around in the back) went arse first through the windscreen. That was a cold trip home...
Not sure I'd want one now...
I used a Fiat Panda to build an Onyx Firefly kit car (think Suzuki cappuccino crossed with an MG Midget) in around 1992. Great little peppy engine with a straight-through cherrybomb exhaust.
