Ok guys, I am finally going to swallow my pride and ask the question;
I can get the idea on how to quote an entire post in a reply.
But I see most of you quoting excerpts from a post (and keeping that lovely quote bubble), or even quoting from multiple posts and keeping the quote bubbles.
My question is;
How the hell do you do it?
Thanks
John
Thanks to the last two posters.
I will take the shame now
J
As long as the first and final quote are there, you can add or delete as you please.
Also, if you are quoting someone who has included five images, please delete the images in order to save the sanity of the rest of us
To quote various posts within your reply tick the smaller quote box with a plus sign to the right then you can add as many quotes as you like
I am so confused.
I wish more people would refrain from quoting the last post when they are having a two poster conversation. Nobody reads the quote through again.
It's not difficult to edit it out parts of a long post and leave the important words to which your post refers to if you need to quote.
I have noticed there are a lot of newbies who think it is their job to quote the op, often with an answer that adds little to the thread such as 'great post'
I cannot understand why somebody just has to quote the op? Do you think they are going to delete it? Someone thought Eddie was going to delete his very long post about curry sources just so they could quote it all and save the day! Really?
I know this post is going to get quoted and quoted... Well those are just the funniest & most hilarious posts I would expect to see.
