What watch with pocket change, £250?

Hello, I'm stuck with finding a watch for pocket change.

Would like an automatic, with sapphire glass, preferably with a Swiss movement.

Shopped all over Leeds city centre, had a HydroConquest offered for £600 but nothing with above specs close to the penny change I have.

I don't mind pre owned. Looking for your suggestions please.

£250 is pushing it but the PRS-3 is pretty good for £340: http://www.timefactors.com/precistaprs3.htm

Alternatively, and if you're happy using eBay, I bought one each of these for just over £270. My favourite watch brand with a massive discount and an absolute steal. Bargains.

I'm sure there will be a 50% off ch Ward sale soon. Hard to be for quality finish and value. Should be close to budget

Sounds tempting, how long a wait is soon?

Am I okay to mention Jomashop here? What's the verdict in terms of reliability?

Seen a Steinhart diver on eBay but current bidding is at £280 and got a feeling it'll push past £300 before auction ends.

Sale Tissot may be your most realistic bet in a shop.

If its just pocket change, why be bothered if its more than £250? Just reach into the other pocket?

There’s a very nice blue Seiko Turtle SRP773J on Sales Corner that fits into your budget. Plus if you buy it you’ll save me some money as I’m tempted myself.
No Sapphire but it’s never been a problem for me with previous Seikos.

At £250 BIN, there's a Tissot Heritage Visodate or Hamilton Jazzmaster Viewmatic on t'Bay

If you went to £300, there's Steinhart Ocean One Black Ceramic with ETA 2824-2 which would be my choice.

If you need to explain that £250 is pocket change then it isn’t.

5,600%APR thru Wonga by any chance?

I’d be looking for a slightly used Seiko sumo for around £250-275 . No saphire ofcourse but so much watch for the money

Got a Stein for sale just now for 280. As for cw, there's usually a January an Easter and a summer sale IIRC

I already have a pair of Hamilton automatics so want something different.

The £250 is a gift which I want to use to purchase a single piece, it would be easy to just add it to the pot for the larger purchase.

I think I'm a long way off viewing sales corner so it'll have to be off eBay. It has to have a sapphire glass though, bad experience in the past.

With Easter around corner I might wait to see what sales turn up, just missed the 40% Jura had on a fortnight ago too.

This would be my recommendation also.

For about £340 you could get the 38mm Khaki (ETA 2824 mvmnt) on Leather which I think is a lovely watch.

Just a quick update, I ended up with this Glycine Combat Classic with a blue dial for a little bit above what I had in the budget.

    43mm
    Swiss movement
    Sapphire crystal

Been on the wrist for past few sunny days and it looks nice. Not fussed about the Invicta connection.

    Thanks for all the input.

I know you have already bought a budget watch now, but a Swatch sistem51 is a good pick for £108 new...

This one looks to be a steal at the price and is one terrific looker as well.

Good Watch for the price! Although I read some bad stories about their warranty after the Invicta purchase.
