    Watchco

I have seen omega watches for sale classed as watchco australia build.
Has anyone on here ever bought one?
Apparently they make them with genuine omega parts.

Watchco in Australia did used to build them, but it appears that they are struggling to get the parts.

The term Watchco generally refers to any Seamaster Rebuild using a 1960s movement (hopefully freshly serviced) and then putting it in a new Omega case with new hands, dial, crystal, crown etc. (Think old 165:024 and 166:024 with date).

They have been put together by many different people.

I had a no date version for a while. They are superb watches and combine the vintage look in a watch which in the main is brand new. Prices are in the £2.5k to £3k region and a bit more if someone has added a 1181 bracelet.

I have one too, although not assembled by Watchco. It's one of my favourites.
