    Email files

I need to reformat my hard drive as its getting very slow. I have everything backed up and a firefox profile downloaded now you can't export passwords.

I have 4 email accounts in thunderbird. 3 are current so are easily refound in a new setup but 1 is an old pop3 orange account whiich is dead. But I don't want to lose the messages which as I understand it I will. So where are the pop files on my computer and how do I copy them in such away as that a new copy of thunderbird will reinstate them to be used as I do now?
    Thanks

It might not be helpful but have you thought about installing an SSD & just cloning your existing drive contents over to it? You'll get a substantial speed increase if you have a normal HDD at the moment.

I just need to check where the Thunderbird files are kept.

    Does this help?

I use this for Thunderbird, its backup the lot and then you just install thunderbird on your new machine and restore it from the backup. It saves the lot, passwords, etc. It take seconds too!
