    Hamilton Khaki 42mm automatic

Just unboxed my new Watch from Hamilton and must say first impressions are very good, very nice readable dial and a comfy strap too, the 42mm Case looks really well finished and love the exhibition Caseback as well, think I will give this one some Wrist time over next few days and bed the already very comfy Strap in some more.

A few pics, always dread how these will turn out but here goes!

Nothing wrong with the pictures and a very nice watch indeed. Hamilton are coming out with some nice stuff lately.

As nice as they are these Hamiltons the only fault that I had with them especially the quarts version is that the second hands don't ( atleast not on mine ) hit the markers bang on, which I found a tad off putting.

Thanks, been tempted to buy one of these for a good while now, no regrets.

Yes if I was into quartz watches that would put me off too.

Nice watch Matt, looks good. Hamilton do make some decent watches. I bought this the other week, but my son decided it looked better on his wrist.

I have the 38mm version. I think they are a lot of watch for the money. Just advised a friend who has an omega AT to buy one. He wanted an everyday watch to go on-site with.

I've had two of those and sent them back.

I just couldn't live with the inner ring of 12 to 24 numbers.

Just my 2p's worth, may you wear it in health.

So much better were it like this IMVHO...... much more open faced.

I like the 24hr thing, it fits in with the Watches Military theme IMO

I just can’t get past the offset date. If they could line the date window up with the 12 hour Arabic’s then I’d be more inclined to buy one. Then the 15 goes and emphasises the issue (for me - I’m a fussy old b*gger!).

    Then you want the 38mm.

The Khaki is a classic - one of the first watches I bought. Hamilton have got a lot right with this one, but I ultimately gave it to No 2 son - like Dave, I just couldn't do with the 24 hr numerals and agree that it looks better without. If you can count up to 24 I don't see the point of them, though appreciate they're de rigeur on American military watches.

Sure, though the 15/24 is still out of alignment. All that they had to do was leave off the date window border and move the 15 over. Humph!

Ive been looking at some alternative strap options for mine and found these on Amazon, think they were around £20 and look quite well made for that.
